I've worked for 5 different large IT companies and they all use M365. Most of my friends in IT use M365 at their company. The exceptions are all medium sized companies.

In all the companies I worked for they were using or migrating to M365, BUT it sucks and everyone hates it and complains about it, especially people who used Gsuite in the past. Outlook is one of the worst things I have ever worked with and it legit made me hate checking and using my work email.

26:46 Office365 is actually pretty big and people use outlook in that all the time given it's part of the subscription. sure for home use it's stupid, but for business use it actually works quite well. and the azure cloud intergration meaning you actually have a way to admin it, without having to set up an exchange environment, cause that SUCKS

I would agree. I do not understand how they can say "who uses outlook?"` Shows that they have never worked in a big company. All of them use outlook. If properly integrated with teams it is a breeze to use. Book appointments directly from Outlook or Teams. Calender sync and you see the status of the person you are contacting in either App. Filesharing via drag and drop in Teams (via Azure). Direct videocall to everybody in the company, with screensharing if needed. You can pull everybody later into a call if you need more people. You can also set up the videocalls so people from other companies than your own can join in. The ability for big companoes to host the Outlook and Teams servers on their hardware (data security).

I have never seen such a failure-prone concept as the carabiner. I can only hope that people who actually rope climb have better carabiners. As for me, I switched to a quick link. I tried reaching out on behalf of municipal for Google Fiber to try and get them out to our town, and received a lot of "maybe in the future" from them even after getting a lot of leg work out of the way (space on the poles was secured, had meetings with dark fiber providers that serviced the area, had local buisness show support for getting, etc). So it wasn't surprising that they didn't make any progress.

I guess to elaborate my point, Google did a lot of big leaguing and anytime my dad or other managers from the contracted company told Google "it can't be done the way you want, it needs to be done this way", the response was generally "do it our way because we're Google". Also, they weren't even in the camp of throw more money at the problem to solve it, even if they ran into more expenses than expected. Just a weird superiority to the whole operation.

It's funny how Oura is Finnish and their own videos pronounce it totally different from how locals pronounce it, but since it's a stylized version of an ancient Finnish/Swedish word "Ora", which means a couple of different things like a rock of sorts, a thorn or a cobbler's awl, they've gone that way and locals pronounce it "Oh-ra" as Finns tend to pronounce things as they're written - like literally everything - cause that's how Finnish is pronounced.

But I have like 6 accounts from 3 services (gmail, hotmail and yahoo), and yeah I have no trouble keeping up with my mail. Spam filter is good for me and I set specific accounts and senders for push notifications. It also integrates well with the Microsoft authenticator. All my accounts are interconnected with 2FA and I love the simple flow of the auth process. Desktop Mail is cool too but I do most of my email reading on my phone. Again probably better solutions but it's been great for me. Certainly better than Gmail. The best part of the Outlook-Teams integration is I don't need to use Outlook. Thankfully the company replaced them free of charge. But I didn't wear that pair of glasses much and went back to my old backup frames because despite how lightweight they are, the material is not designed for any sort of fatigue flexing with those thin wall sections. Designed for style and status, not a lot of consideration for structure or longevity. A gimmick and a waste of money for me, lesson learned. Titanium is lightweight for its strength, but that doesn't mean it's perfect for every application, linus isn't designing a backpack for NASA astronauts, so there's literally no reason to be using titanium when steel or stainless would be perfectly suitable.

I know you can pair it to a non-microsoft/outlook email account, but it is convenient to separate it "in case" there is an issue with the account, at least it will only take down one email account. I also use Window Mail App (instead of Office Outlook) to easily get alerts for new emails on outlook, gmail and even my ancient yahoo account. To each his own regarding this. On another note, it was the first time I had my laptop checked if I could add another 4gb of memory since Windows 11 shows it only uses 1 o 2. after it was opened and checked (soldered ram 1 stick only), couldn't upgrade/add ram so it was returned to me. My cockatiel got out one time back when I lived in Pasadena. He was outside for about 23 hours before we managed to get him back. Cockatiels aren't as intensely flock-oriented like budgies so playing bird sounds didn't work, but we did walk around the neighborhood whistling his song (because he responds to it) and carrying his cage (for the same reason mentioned in the video). We did our best to keep our eyes on him, but he probably flew for MANY, MANY miles that day. (Seriously had to have been at least 15 miles total given how far we went following him.) We saw him doing huge circles in the sky, had to have been hundreds of feet above the ground. And we knew it was him, because he was calling out to us the whole time he was flying, but he was too panicked to come to us on his own. (The poor little guy didn't like flying DOWN. He used to fly up and perch on a door, but when he wanted down he would cry out for someone to come rescue him. He can do it now but it took him a couple years.) When he got too tired to keep flying, he found a place to land and hide. It was getting dark so he found a place to sleep. Going to bed that night was really hard for us. The next day we stayed outside all morning to listen for his contact call. I don't know where he slept but we eventually found him outside but we couldn't reach him. We chased him around the neighborhood but whenever we would try to climb up to get him or try to get him to fly down to us, he'd get spooked and fly away to another place to perch. Finally he landed somewhere that he was able to climb down instead of flying. My wife coaxed him over... And then grabbed him in her shirt and ran home. He did get out again one other time, a few months later, but we got him back in under half an hour that time. I think he kind of figured out what he did wrong the first time and learned from it. He hasn't wanted to go outside since then! We used to be scared to open the door when he was in the room but now we know we don't have to fear that anymore.

You guys, seriously. Exchange and Outlook has been the goto software for this for 25 years. In my 20 years as a consultant I can only recall like five customers that don't use it. Everyone doesn't use Outlook, but if we exclude like chinese subsistance farmers it isn't honestly isn't an extreme hyperbole.

Right? Outlook is used in nearly every professional setting. Whether it is a small consultancy of 10 people, 250-head medium business or worldwide conglomerates employing tens of thousands of people. I get that some one-man shows or tiny startups can get by with something else, but they are the exception. Not the norm.

Valve should have the records to be able to know which serial numbers came from which suppliers and therefore which ones have the affected fan model. They could quite easily make a single web page for someone types in their steam deck serial number and it will tell them if they are affected or not. They can even have that linked on the dbrand website when someone orders the kill switch case so that a user can be informed if they are device is compatible or not. The information does exist valve just has to take a day or two to compile it into a database make it available to the public in some manor.

Google have an amazing knack of changing apps, software and other services in an annoying fundamental way that ruins any muscle memory or expected outcome of interaction. The youtube app has changed drastically for the worse, requiring many additional taps, swipes and interactions to complete actions than before, such as adding to a playlist, liking a video etc. The forced theme change on PC was insanely annoying.

Zipper Pulls - The 's' carabiner appears to be or very similar to a product Nite-Ize sells. I've had one on my keychain for almost 10 years, it's warn but still functions like a top. They do make smaller sizes, like zipper pull size that does work despite the size. The titanium one is cool - But it won't hold up long term. It will fail. The benefit of the s style you showed is the wire that holds it closed is also the spring making it very durable.

I was going to say this and looked to see if someone else mentioned it. If it were me in this situation I would use the small nite-ize s beener along with the included tool because it will be far more durable than any solution you'll get as a replacement. But that's just me. I like the way those kinds of beeners look anyways.

The thing people forget about Australian pricing, is that retailers in Australia always include the Goods & Services Tax (GST), which is at the rate of 10%. So, If an item is priced at $2900 AUD, then $263.64 from that would be GST.

Meanwhile in most of King County, WA we have Comcast with a ratio of 100/5 (what I have for $70), up to 2500/55 I think (also absurdly expensive). Some select places have Century Link FTTH with symmetric gigabit, about $50-70 a month, not me though. My other landline based option is Century Link DSL with a whopping 5mbps down/1mbps up... As soon as TMobile unlimited 5G home internet is available in my location I'm switching. I'm already getting 600/80 on my phone with their midband 5g and that's inside my house, outside is better.

1:58:14 Your 15A breaker may be woofed - replace it and try. Your other option is to remove that 15A breaker and stick a 20A (not a good idea) in the box. Monitor the temperature of the wire under full load - if it remains below the max temp of the wire's insulation, you're prime!
@Jaker788
@Jaker788 Год назад
Yeah, 20A is definitely not a good idea unless the wire is known to be properly gauged for it (probably isn't). The other alternative is to swap breakers from a non essential circuit for a quick troubleshoot.
