Usb killer that *outputs* current? No problem. Chop the end of one mains cable (not the one that you plug into the outlet) and connect the orange wire to GND and D- and the blue one to D+ and Vcc. Done 120V / 220V (AC!) in a usb port.

I like how you did test on bigger devices such as cars. With the gorwing number of "smart" cars, things like this (the USB killer I mean) bound to happen, and potentially endanger lives. Like you said, nobody else doing it, so I appreciate you did it so I don't have to! Just make sure you do it in a safe environment. As for the cost, well, I glad I don't have to do it!

The USB killer doesn't work on unpowered USB ports - well unless there is some residual charge in the capacitors.
