In a USB PD Charger, you can expect an isolated AC to DC Converter and USB Quick charger /Power Delivery controller IC.
It was interesting to discover which ICs this USB PD charger uses and the new thing I learned was about the active rectifier which replaces the Schottky diode and improves efficiency by 2-6%.
One more thing which I found interesting was how nicely they have assembled the controller PCB onto the USB PD Charger PCB without needing a connector, a good cost-saving tactic :)
It is always fun to see how different circuits and products I built. You get to see others' perspectives.
