Almost guaranteed losses LSU, Michigan, Penn st, ND. Then Wisconsin might be almost 50/50 game as well. 10-2 pipe dream but 8 or 9 wins is achievable. Schedule is definitely tough.

@brettk9316 Riley is a great offensive mind but he has always been incapable of slowing down his own offense so the defense can rest. He then lets everyone blame the DC for the failure of his teams. This has been going on since his first year at Oklahoma, which happens to be his best year also in his coaching career.

I’m damn tired of hearing about Grinch! That really is Beating a Dead Horse now! If I hear that any more, I’m moving on to another show! He's a great QB developer and does have a great offensive mind. A great OC would know that scoring in 30 seconds is a bad strategy.

Let's just be realistic here. The new era of recruiting is the highest bidder, plain and simple. USC needs at least 15 to 20 million a year just for football recruiting to complete, anything less will be a failure for USC. ✌️✌️

A good NIL program helps for sure, but let's not act like a great on-field product and development for players isn't just as important. Something that USC currently can't fully offer

Caller was right, not convinced LR is a great head coach. You can’t be when one side of your team every year is bottom barrel. His failure to recruit Cali hurts us but also strengthens our rivals. He choose to fill our staff with non west coast coaches, so yes he deserves admonishment for our current lack of relationships with the Cali high school power programs.

Agree Cohen made the correct initial steps with the support and D staff she helped bring in along with the new football facility, NIL was a mess when she arrived so should be given an opportunity to fix it but it within a short time frame....agree the coaches have got to be frustrated with the recruiting decommits and misses with NIL...but win 10 games and much of it goes away

Riley has given up like 40 a game ever since he has been a HC. This has been with a few different D coordinators too. Don’t blame an AD that’s been there one year. lol Also, Riley hasn’t been supported? lol. Ok. Stoops left him two Heisman winners, CeeDee Lamb, Mark Andrews, etc.

No. Its Been over 15 years of hiring soft weak offensive head coaches when Clearly it’s not working. Meanwhile USC’s culture continues to rot & top recruits continue to avoid USC. Riley is no different. 5 years at OU & they gotten worst. 3rd in USC & it will continue to get worst. It be anymore obvious.

NIL is letting Riley down. Period. Secondly, agreed: California recruiting needs to be better. Too many top guys going to A&M, Oregon, OSU, etc. from Mater Dei, Bosco, and right in our backyard. That is undeniable. There are people who are great like J who thinks we are recruiting Cali just fine but “just losing them.” That’s the point: we’re losing them. If we simply go All in for Cali guys and cherry-pick the nation, that’s the Carroll plan and the blueprint for Riley. We aren’t going all in for Cali. He goes for too many out of state guys and seems to cherry pick Cali. Or it’s “even.” It can’t be. That’s not the locking down Cali blueprint. I disagree with anyone who thinks his Cali plan is good and his national pursuit is good. The percentage is awful. Pettijohn hurt exposed the failed plan. Period. All that wind for him to diss USC. He actually said, “Show me wins.” Then why the hell did he take USC so far? Because these recruits are gaming the system and Riley is being played with the out of starters. Riley is great as a coach. Needs to adjust recruiting blueprint and needs to shatter some glasses to let people know he needs NIL fixed.

Riley is an offensive coordinator and not a head coach. His defenses as a head coach has been terrible. This season will tell fans where we are as a program. Fans should demand more instead of being soft. 2005 is history. Recruits today grew up watching elite programs and not USC. They do not care about great teams under Pete Carroll.

Again, you 10-2 people are huffing paint. We are 19-8 in 2 years. Nothing but NOTHING indicates we will go 12-0, 11-1, even 10-2. Our SP+, Vegas over/under, FPI, portal, recruiting, and next year recruiting ranks, as well as our 2024 schedule, all place us as shaky, probably in the 8-4, 7-5, 6-6 area. IT DOESN'T MATTER what "other schools across the country would be happy with." That is satisfaction with absolute mediocrity. We are either elite or we are Spider Rico. Saying "duh other shitty schools would LOVE 8 wins" is a rancid defeatist attitude. Let's be HONEST BASED ON FACT: we have not been relevant since 2009. We have NEVER gone to the CFP. Our odds this year for the CFP are 2.5%. Get real.

USC will be just fine, unlike other universities that sucking in recruiting. These others have no reason to be suffering, as a USC, it's been though hell on sanctions what excuse does these other top tier universities have, not anything. Lincoln Riley, will be fine, we have some things we need to get done on defense to get our recruiting over the 35% projectile. Our offensive side is doing better by Lincoln Riley having that offensive minded side and development. Our offensive side I say running about 50%. I say this it will get even better through time of proving ourselves. We must get our NIL business on the right track. You know the old saying, you got crawl before you walk. Lincoln Riley been there now going on 3 yrs. Hell Sark was there 1 yr and was a dam drunk. He's some of the blame for our major setback. After him came Clay Helton. Everyone thought that Sark would get our program going, yet this idiot turns, out he's a dam drunk. Yet gets credit for Alabama and now Texas. If This idiot was doing his job we've been in way better shape. Lincoln Riley wouldn't have took over a program that's a mess. Yet give it time. It Michigan, Georgia years to get it rolling, Florida done nothing in years!!!

Verbal commitments mean nothing, leave Cohen alone. USC was not going anywhere until Lincoln Riley showed up. We have a great incoming class for 2025... USC will be tops in 2024 with our new defense.

I'll say it: Carol Folt should be fired. Jen Cohen should be fired. And if Riley -- who has been a mediocre coach -- doesn't get it together within three years, he should be fired. There is absolutely no excuse for Cohen being behind on NIL like this. Look at the criticism of Cohen when she was UW's AD. She was a terrible choice. When we go 8-4 and 7-5 this year, there will rightfully be calls for change. Our program has been terrible for fifteen years. Enough is enough. And for those of you who like to hurl insults at anyone who criticizes the program, let's see how you feel after this season.

Big Ten sucks and I still do not like being a part of it. I would rather lose in the PAC 12, than win in the Big Ten. They and the whole East Coast and Midwest and Southeast they have and own all the media and have all the power. I would rather just play by myself, and win the PAC 12, than instead of worrying about their show party. We are not even invited in reality, we are just additions to their party, and they hold no real love to the UW or any other. UW just represents the other schools in the ex-PAC 12, other than USC and Oregon. UW is not a whore program. UW is like Utah and WSU; we just have a little more money than they do for football. UW is Oregon State. Hey! I do not have any deep-rooted hate anymore for USC or Oregon, just that I am ashamed of you all. UW is the second most successful program in the PAC conference, but we are treated like trash. Treated by USC and Oregon that way. USC basically deserves what they are getting right now. You got more money than the whole PAC, like Oregon but you two teams are the worst representatives of anything to do with sportsmanship or class. I really hope the UW wins a natty again to shut you all up.
