Lol why are both you and biz calling him Tekashi? Is this some meme now? It's clearly Takeshi, and Japanese words/names are always spelled phonetically.
I grew up watching him and his brother skate vert, incredibly talented. Some of the greatest vert skating talent in general not just in rollerblading. really dope USD hooked him up, these look great. And big up to you for hooking him up.
Thanks, Brandon - Mally is still blown away by the skates every time he puts them on [so the Invisible Sky Fairy smiles on your - and Powerslide's -generosity]. The only other thing that would make Mally's life complete at this point - with respect to the skates - would be to have the great one himself, comment on how Mally's using them - having vert skates are cool, having the pro vert skate of your skating idol...beyond words. It's been just over a month since you gave hem to him and the progress has been relatively spectacular. As you said, he won Nationals -and he was pretty disappointed with how he skated - but over-and-above that, he's acquired a lot more control and power [maybe he is putting on weight? :) ] and his airs are starting to get bigger... only criticism, if any, is that the skate doesn't grind easily... although wax is, very definitely, your friend.
Heh... and nah... Caius [Malachi's little brother] lives to give Mally shit. Caius skates in his own right, but isn't as passionate - or as dedicated - as Mally, so he was stoked for Mally ... he also got the Gawds Mally was skating (thanks to Kelv at ShredCitySkates for that) as hus skates were stolen too. Brandon wasn't exaggerating ...our car got completely cleaned out...aggressives/ hockeys/ streets ... The generosity of Powerslide Brandon, and members of the NZ aggressive skate community was awesome and greatly appreciated.
Vert Skater skates better with vert skates? What a surprise! 🤣🤘.. Nice one on handing down the skates to somebody who's going to shred the vert. Good move Brandon😎
Love my Takashi Aeons! Removed the 45 buckle and ride Mushroom Blading 72's or 65's depending on if I'm Wizarding around or hitting the park. They are great for switching up between my Aeon 60's to feel something different/faster or just training myself to get nasty low on Royals, haha.
Great video and great skating! I also have a pair of those (in addition to a pair of Aeon 60). They're great and a significant improvement compared to a more basic Aeon model. They are crazy light and crazy fast! Still, I agree that the 45 deg buckles stick out of much. On mine, the strap for the right buckle was even one size bigger. Had to cut a few centimeters off to not be annoyed when doing grabs.
I have had a pair for 3 months. I agree that the 68 wheels are a whole lot better and faster than my street 60 wheels when hitting the vert. I found the Aeons too flexi when I first got them. But recently took the top laces out and ran the boot laces through the boot and liner. This made the skate so much more comfortable, responsive and cleaner and easier. And reduced the forward flex a little. I highly rate the skate.
