Use a batch file to log into the SAP system | SAP Log on

After GUI 740, it is not possible to enable the password field in SAP Shortcut, so passwords cannot be stored. The registry values aren't created when you run "sapshcut.exe -register".
There is a way to easily log on to the SAP system using a batch file. In this video I will explain and show you all the needed steps. But please be aware that login information is stored in a BAT file which is not encrypted and can be used to gain unauthorized access.

At Bosch, I used to read a SAP Note for this topic. I did apply into a Testing project to help my Junior login into system much faster ( we used common Dummy SAP user for testing, therefore there is no security preach for this). ^^ Thanks God that you had helped me to remind it!

Hi, What if i have 2 system with the same system ID but different application server number, your BAT file is only selecting 1 system and not working on another system with the same System ID. Can you give techincal name for the field Application server?

You can use -sysname. Just execute "start sapshcut /?" to get explanations on the parameter and more parameters you can use.

It's very helpful, but what to be done in case of SSO (Single Sign ON) login. We are not using password to login SAP. Thank you in Advance.

Good question. If you type "start sapshcut /?" you see all the possible parameters. There is no option for SSO. Does it work if you do not use the password parameter?
