Great demonstration & I really appreciate you noting the difference in the pick wires vs the picks with handles. I also like the video where you discussed the options of picking & tensioning tools & why you chose what you did for your handled picks, the handle style itself, & your tensioners & the differences in the channels. I’m fascinated by lever locks, but haven’t picked any yet & have a lot to learn. You seem to know them very well & I appreciate you sharing your tips for picking them & will be referring back to your videos when I do take on lever locks. I would think the wire handles would bend and lose their shape. Just an observation. I’ve had two strokes and I can figure out how to bend a wire. Your set looks so great and love the handles!!
Question time Can the ends of your crafted wires be threaded as too the hole in the Handle to accommodate so no need for grub screw.also if the edges of handle was grooved like a coin would that give better grip?? Appinions on any site are always at risk of be taken out of context...
You could definitely add a thread on the wire, the only problem you would have is getting the pick tip lined up with the handle, level as you look at it once you tighten it all the way. You could get it level but if it’s not tight enough the wire is going to move. I like the idea though mate 👍🏻
Michael Lyth Yeah that can be done. You got me thinking now about trying it 😂 I will tap a handle and thread the wire, then make the pick end. It could be done, would just take a little bit longer. I’ll keep you posted 👍🏻
