That's probably the most important video you have posted so far. I think a lot of people need to hear that message. I am so forwarding this to my Friends.
I love watching Your vids, man, You're one of the more positive and genuine creators/martial artists out there. It's great to see You grow in positivity from one vid to another, keep it up!
I definitely prefer these mindset videos, personally. You video on how martial arts saved your life was one I forwarded to many people. That one, as well as this, really struck a cord with me.
I really enjoyed this video! I've always been a big fan of Bruce Lee -- so much so that one of my childhood friends gave me the nickname Kato. I always enjoy learning about, and revisiting, Bruce Lee as a philosopher, an artist, and the man that he was; and not just the super star, legendary martial artist. He truly was brilliant -- even outside of martial arts. A real "modern day renaissance man." At first I just knew Bruce Lee as the coolest, baddest mo-fo ever; but, as I learned more about him, I was fascinated by his way. His way of thinking, speaking, and doing. His way of viewing life, the world, and himself. I especially admire how he would view things holistically by studying various things -- such as martial arts, philosophy, physics, and dance; or various martial arts -- and bring them together to understand much more about the whole, as well as each individual part. I was definitely influenced by that mindset, and it's a big part of what made me who I am today. That being said, I have definitely struggled with self negativity, and self doubt, myself. This video is a great reminder that whether you believe you can, or you can't, you are right. That positivity and negativity both emanate not only outward, but inward. That focusing on our weaknesses can make us lose sight of our strengths. And that -- no matter where you are in life -- there is always more to learn, and room to grow. Thank you for another great upload. As always, I look forward to the next one. Until then, "Party on."
"Like everyone else you want to learn the way to win, but never accept the way to lose, to accept defeat, to learn to die is to be liberated from it. So when tomorrow comes, you must free your ambitious mind, and learn the art of dying." Bruce Lee.
My Sensei always said that the key to getting better was not to focus too hard on your mistakes or on your aspirations, it was just to try to make EVERY move you throw somehow just a tiny bit better than the last one of those that you threw. Can you throw it a bit faster? Can you keep your speed and throw it harder? Can you keep your speed and power but be more accurate? Can you stay that fast, strong, and accurate with less telegraph? and so on. Micro-goals yo. 😎
When i was teenager my friends was joking that i was the lazyest man alive... And i was allways saying "meeh...i dont want to..."... But one day i reached a level of lazynest that i did not want to "dont want to" any more heh And i started capoeira (pretty crazy choise for lazy(introvert)person, but turns up pretty good:D music, movement, training, acrobatic, friendly people etc..heh). Buut nvm. Important is to decide something byyourself... When somebody telling me "you must do ..."...Then automaticly i feel like "meeh...will see..." But if you feel like you should, can or just want to do something then it is much easier. My goals for this year are pretty simple... I want to try find energy to not skipping my trainings and fight every time... (Phisical work + judo sometimes is hard : p is easy just to skip or when is randori just sit an chill... In the end of the 22 i was lazy... I was skiping a lot.. and fight maybe one time and sit... (If somebody asked me to fight i was allways ready...but by myself i was picking only one round heh) now i am trying go fight every training... But showing up everytime is still hard and sometimes i have to skip it (30min-1h break beteeen work and training is not enogh for me if i want to walk my puppy, shower and eat in this time heh) but i have this goal and i am trying- and this is important : D
On my 35th birthday I made the theme "Young at heart" because the previous few years I had the mentality that I was too old. But at one point I decided, "You know what, you're only as old as you feel." So now I still feel young! Having a wife that is 6 years younger doesn't hurt 😂 I also have a number of other positive aspirations that I believe but I think that was the most fun one!
I used this video to help me git gud at Fortnite. I wrote a bunch of stuff down. Now I'm about to go play. Will report results when complete. Thank you for the wisdom
Bro, if none were landed before, then 1 kick out of 10 landed, is 10% better, not 1% better. Give yourself a break. ;) I suppose considering 10% better in action, as 1% better overall could be beneficial to drive you.... ・シャロム.
I'm planning on getting into JKD and there happens to be a JKD instructor in my area. His channel is Evolution Jeet Kune Do. Could someone kindly take a look at his channel and tell me if the guy is good? I'm not a martial artist so I can't tell if he's legit. Thanks! 🙏
He has a solid lineage. But don't let whatever someone on the internet says - go try a class! If it's fun, awesome! Do it! If it's not fun, then don't do it!
