A question for @Ostraining: Is the Drupal Beginner Course that you created eight years ago still suitable for learning Drupal today? I enjoy your videos and would like to learn Drupal through your course. I previously completed the Joomla Course and would like to explore Drupal now, but I am a complete beginner. Can you confirm if this source is still relevant for learning Drupal these days? A huge Thank you to all of You!!
Hi - Thank you for your kind words! The Drupal 8 course on RU-vid is very old (as you noted). Yes, you can learn a lot - the foundation hasn't changed all that much - but so much has changed with Drupal 10! We have even created a new site builder (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r0uL4OIJMv0.html) since DevDesktop is gone. We have an excellent Drupal Beginner class over at OSTraining - (ostraining.com/courses/drupal-9-explained-course/) with more on the way, including an updated Drupal 10 course (though the current one will get you 90% of the way there). I hope that's helpful. Rod
Yep - both MAMP and XAMPP are great. For our training, we can't ask students to install software (we teach a lot of people who's computers are locked down by their employers)... so this works for them too!
I'm getting "Failed to start ddev-gitpod: container(s) failed to become healthy before their configured timeout or in 120 seconds. This may be just a problem with the healthcheck and not a functional problem. (container 'dba' exited, please use 'ddev logs -s dba' to find out why it failed) " And after running ddev logs -s dba: Permission denied: AH00091: apache2: could not open error log file /var/log/apache2/error.log. AH00015: Unable to open logs
