Interesting. I have a bunch of Ryobi tools, but no Milwaukee, so this device isn’t for me. However, if I did have both systems I would definitely buy one of these.
I managed to break one Miwaukee 5ah battery while using it with converter and Ryobi hot glue gun by draining the battery empty. After that the charger considered the battery broken and it wouldn't recharge anymore. I read somewhere that using the converter may mess up the chip inside battery if you drain it. I still use the converter because the glue gun is super useful and works great otherwise with it. Now I'm just extra careful not to overdrain the battery.
IF the pack isn't borked, you might be able to revive your Milwaukee battery. Using a trusted DC power supply apply 18v (+ to +) and (- to -) with a current limit of 0.5amps. Once the cells get to ~16V, the OEM charger should charge the battery.
@@RetroBuiltGames you might try very standard 9volt, (the ones with clip terminals a very cheap multi meter, the cheapest pound or dollars store type if you not not one already (have look on the interweb see what say about where the + and - terminals at, very important make sure your battery being reported as dead, has not revises it's + and -, to a - and +, polarity's if the + and -, are still where they should be, or reading 0.volts go some where you don't mind the going thermal (just being on the safe side, but do it) and connect the 9volt to your dead battery, only for 30-40 second, and then mustimeter the dead battery and see if made and difference, and ~+ and - are where they should be, (you now have choose, repeat, and see, if you get more power into the battery, (or try it on dead battery's proper charger, and see what happens, if it's still the same try once more 9volt battery if your feeling lucky, and repeat, (but all at your own risk, (Iven if it works don't charge the battery unsupervised all the times, checking anything not normal, burning smell, very hot, (fire that should be easy to spot 🙂this not full list, even if does fully charge, still don't store in you home house, or anywhere, you would mind catching fire, really, if after 2 or so charge circles the battery working as if should the same stuff: anything not normal, burning smell, very hot, (fire that should be easy to spot 🙂this not full list, but, you can start trust it, but not to much, good luck, stay safe
