HI, well explained and with the exact amount of words. Unlike other videos around here. On the other hand apple should start to think that people can't buy new Macs every 2 or 3 years. I have an iMac 2014 and Sonoma runs like a charm. So why apple doesn't allow to install at least Ventura?

Hi bro, very good tutorial, but I want to inform you that it is not necessary to format the internal disk for installation, I have done it on my 2 old apple computers (1 Macbook pro 2016 and 1 MacPro 2013) and it works wonderfully installed as if it were an update without having to fresh start installing the own data. So I'm letting everyone know that they can do it that way too 🙂

@@patelbhaveshm07 Just like you did but instead of formatting the internal drive I just installed the software as update from my pendrive.

I guess its just for those, like myself, who needs to give away their old macbooks, to their friends or relatives, in that perspective is to be [ formatted as brand new ] but that said as @JoeVazquezProductorMusical puts it, we can also opt for, installation as it self, without touching the [ formatting ]

Hi guys just sharing a update but btw, something happened to me 4 days ago with a 2012 macbook pro that when I installed the open core sonoma a remote management appeared and I got confused and I formatted the disk and the RM came back but I did research and the problem was that I had to Install open core without Wi-Fi on and the computer installs everything without any problem without Remote management. I share this so you know how to do it. cheers

Thanks so much for this video, I'll try this out after I get a flash drive tomorrow. I have one question though, is it possible to install Sonoma with OCLP if I have two partitions, one for OSX and one for Linux? I'm just a bit worried because OCLP is a bootloader so I might not be able to get back into my Linux system? Not sure if that's how it works, thanks!!
@bluebird1954
@bluebird1954 10 дней назад
Honestly never tried it with Linux, but I know that you can run boot camp and there's no issues with the partitions Just make sure you manually create the correct partitionn for the 2nd os during the Linux install and I don't think Linux will touch open core

After installing the Sonoma on my MBP 2012, I tried to 'CLONE' the disk using "Carbon Copy Cloner" but failed as its throwing the error "The APFS replication procedure failed." any help would be appreciated.

Hey there, I was following your tutorial and everything works well but… every time I turn on my Mac, it asks me about boot option(where do I want to start it from). I tried holding control button and clicking to that arrow. But it didn’t help at all. Is there any solution?

Hi all, I’m running a 2017 MBP, with Ventura 13.6.4, trying to install Sonoma 14.3. Many failed attempts with same result, follow all of these steps closely. I get to final install @8:00, and instead of 1% progress bar it just goes back into the recovery menu. I have tried this many times, wiping my SSD, tried installing older versions of OCLP and older versions of Sonoma within OCLP. I suspect maybe it’s from Ventura 13.6.4, should I downgrade to Monterey or previous OS? My friend is running a M2 Mac Mini running Ventura 13.6.4, having same issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

"Please attempt to install version 1.1.2. Version 1.1.3 requires updates. If you're on the homepage of Open Core, you'll also notice for version 1.1.3 that your system needs to be updated. If it isn't, it won't function properly, so opting for version 1.1.2 would be advisable."

It seems like you're having trouble downloading OpenCore Sonoma from their website. That sounds frustrating! Have you tried refreshing the page or attempting the download at a different time? It could be a temporary technical issue. If that doesn't work, you might consider reaching out to the developers of OpenCore Sonoma to let them know about the problem. Hopefully, it'll be resolved soon so you can get started with using OpenCore Sonoma! Good luck! or try to download it with google chrome

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear you're encountering issues. It sounds like you're trying to install macOS Sonoma, but encountering an error message about the application being damaged. One possible solution could be to try re-downloading the installer from the App Store or Apple's website to ensure you have a fresh copy. Additionally, double-checking your internet connection and system settings might help resolve the issue. Hang in there, you'll get it sorted out!

Creating the installer after entering my password, the creating installer screen disappears quickly in seconds, then back to the main prompt for the opencore. What went wrong at this point?
@macintoshteam6657
@macintoshteam6657 2 месяца назад
It sounds like there may have been an issue during the creation of the installer for OpenCore. Here are a few potential reasons why this could be happening: Insufficient Disk Space: Ensure that you have enough free disk space on your system to create the installer. Sometimes, if the disk space is limited, the creation process might fail or terminate prematurely. Corrupted Files or Downloads: Make sure that all the necessary files for creating the installer are intact and not corrupted. Redownload the files if necessary and verify their integrity. Permissions Issue: It's possible that there's a permissions issue preventing the installer creation process from completing successfully. Try running the process with administrative privileges or check the permissions of the files and directories involved. Software Conflict: Sometimes, conflicts with other software installed on your system can interfere with the installer creation process. Try temporarily disabling any antivirus or security software to see if that resolves the issue. Bug or Glitch: Occasionally, there might be a bug or glitch in the OpenCore software itself. Make sure you're using the latest version of OpenCore and check for any reported issues or updates that might address the problem you're experiencing. Hardware Compatibility: Ensure that your hardware is compatible with OpenCore. Incompatible hardware can sometimes cause issues during the installation process. If none of these suggestions resolve the issue, you may need to seek further assistance from the OpenCore community or developers for troubleshooting specific to your situation.

I’m questioning if it has to do with the usb I have. It not a typical name branded one so, might replace it and try again. I’m currently on Monterey so might also try Ventura. I’m on a Mac mini 7’1.
