THANK YOU!!! My employer has disabled archive-options and knowing I can set up Personal folders as a workaround is such a relief. No more being held hostage by my mailbox!! I think you have just taught me how to remove the biggest stressor of my job.
Nice job, Leila. You have a great way of explaining things, especially in your delivery and the use of graphics. I was finally able to archive some old emails and stop Outlook from telling me that my mailbox is full. I feel like Outlook has turned into my mom telling me to clean up my room! 🙂

I have found that after moving folders from my inbox to the archive folder I still have to delete the folders from my inbox which are still taking space. The good news is that the folders are now in the archived folder and out of my way. Thanks for this really useful video... you're lovely

Great video (as always). Sadly, I didn't find the answer to the question I seek. I want to be able to select ONE email and then "delete all" emails from that one user WITHOUT making a permanent rule. I can't find this. Nor can I find the "sweep" option. Is this possible? Thanks!

Thanks for the tut. I did a manual archiving 'older than 1 May 2022'. What outlook did is duplicating the emails from my account to the archive folder. I was looking to move not copy, so the size reduce in the server. any further tips. Thank you
what if you have one drive and you have documents synced and backed up on onedrive? will your outlook archive file be capable of being read on another computer that also has that same onedrive synced?

@Leila Gharani Suggestion for your videos: When you show steps, point to an item to click, then pause your action for 2 seconds and then click it. This way it gives viewers a chance to see and read and understand where you have move the mouse and are about to click. I think it would allow for better learning and not really add any length to your videos. If you said something like this, for example: "...then go down here to archive...[circle your mouse cursor over it for a second] ...and click here ...[then click it]"
Hi Leila Thanks for the info. Although I had quite a bit of information on this topic, your video had a lot more than what I knew. Just one query: Can you help me with saving the settings so that I am able to import those settings if I happen to reinstall my office. Hi Leila, Thank you for such great videos. I have moved my emails in outlook to a new data folder that's on my personal pc. The problem is that on my phone using gmail to access my email account still all emails are there!! How can I do please to do the same as on my pc so i can reduce the used space of my emails? Dear Leila, nowadays storage spaces are not so expensive as they were before. However, Microsoft spoils its good application (Outlook) by depriving users of the option to choose freely the location for data file (OST). Its always uses system disk, which is not good for storing information. All work arounds that I see on youtube that are designed to change the data file location by some tricks do not work. I mean, any trick on my PC is stuck at some step whereas it does not in the youtube "lesson". Do you have any advice concerning this problem?
Thank you for the video. This is great information. However, all of these options create local PST files on 1 pc. How can an archive be setup between a laptop and a desktop, that use the exact same email accounts through Outlook ?
Great Video! We tried the archive feature on her Windows machine and tried to archive everything before 2017, but received an error on two of her folders. "Error while archiving folder "NCAA" in store" then it shows her 365 email address
