Welcome to Stamping September! This month, we'll be using stamps (amongst other things) to create our clean and simple cards. I'll be sharing lots of ideas, hints, tips and hacks along the way, plus we'll be using all sorts of stamps, including rubber, photopolymer, acrylic, silicone and DIY stamps, all featuring sentiments, textures and images. Natalie, what beautiful cards!! like that you get 2 for 1 cards!! Also I appreciate that you show how to make it work even if it there is something wrong. I like that you always mention that is it hand made so it does not have to be perfect!! I have watched some other videos and they make you feel it has to be perfect. So I do not watch them. I do not want to feel bad if my card is not perfect!! You always brighten my day!!

So glad to see you use that new mat. I just got one. They had called it a grippy mat and when I got it all I could do was wonder what it was supposed to grip. I had thought it worked like your usual grippy mat. Great idea for those cards and for dealing with stamps that just don't want to stamp. Thanks.

How does one tell the difference between silicone and photo polymer?

Photopolymer stamps tend to be more expensive, stickier, softer and have quite a strong perfume-like smell to them. Silicone/acrylic stamps tend to be cheaper, less sticky, harder, and have a rubbery smell! Also, if water-based inks bead up on the stamp and don't give a good impression first time, then they're probably silicone/acrylic.

Thanks! A lot of these stamps came from my 'hodge podge' happy birthday set, where I amalgamate the same sentiments from different sets, so it was easy for me. :)
