In this video we go over how to use a solution's osmotic pressure to find molar mass of unknown dissolved solute (osmotic pressure colligative property). I wanted to switch it up in this video and attempt to make the problems more fun (remember Hydrogen bonding is FON). I apologize to anyone who is thrown off by the obscure 90's cartoon reference.
These problems don't seem to be too stressed compared to other colligative property problem types, but regardless I think they're worth knowing how to solve. They're good practice because they tie together multiple formulas, and the idea that someone could use the osmotic pressure of a solution to help determine the molar mass of a solute is pretty crazy to me.
Hope this helps someone! Let me know down below if:
- you have an easier way to do these
- you found a mistake or want clarification on something
- you found this helpful :D
