I use tea bags quite a bit in my junk journals. Recently, I came across a suggestion to try printing directly onto a tea bag. No instructions were included with the suggestion, however. So I just used a little washi tape to attach it to a piece of copy paper and sent it through my printer. And it worked! So far, I've only printed black and white images which look beautiful. Fun technique!
Now I just need to find them, pull them out of my stash, and use them again. Really like the effects of tea bags on a page, tfs & reminding us to use what we have.
I also dry my teabags first, in their normal wet condition. It takes about a day, yet when dry, the tea has had more time to color the paper. Wonderful examples of what to do with them.
Great idea ! I actually use tea bags for years in my junk journal, I use it as much as you would do cheese cloth and indeed like see through paper :-) waiting until the tea bag is dried completely makes it less messy with the emptying of your bag... ;-)
What adhesive did you use to adhere them to your journal? With the transparency of the bag, a lot of adhesives would show through, so I was curious as to what you used. I would like to try this, but hesitate without knowing what kind of adhesive would work.
Also try passion fruit tea, the bags will have a pinkish red finish. I leave the tea in the bag until it is dry and then remove the tea, the bags will be a darker brown or pinkish red
