Also, for the Fran and Fal you can use the combo to dungeon crawl easily. just keep 1 enemy alive. guard with everyone until their SP is full. Then you can do the combo. heal up. kill that one enemy. Can be repeated over and over for no MP at all.
Hero combos were badly implemented and final dmg is cut by the amount of participants, that's why they deal less damage than each person just using their own skill :(
@@papasears1982It must be though, else it means that combo attacks are innately inferior, and don’t make sense from a risk vs. reward perspective. Someone bunged the math on DMG calculation. There’s just no way that a single normal attack can hit for 4 figures and a combined attack using the same level characters hits for half. Because: why?

Best and worst hero conversations are always tricky since their power levels are greatly impacted by their level and where you are in the game. Im definitely excited for fran not to die all the time because she's awesome (when alive)
@@JohnRambo1947-July-6th stat wise yeah, me personally i tend to like yusuke better because his 2 charge ups align with whatever skill you put him on. Yuferius jaw attack is not yet full sp when you do 2 charges on him, just some kind of an ocd thing for me.
Agree with the combos being bad, i personally use the ones that look cool or are fun 💀💀 like the one with momo mellore and Carrie turn them all into sailor moon characters 😭😭
My issue so far is that the combos don't really do more dmg then each person just taking their own turn. The complete hero combo does less than the 2 teams using their combo... and less than just having all 6 take their own turn.
That is the one thing they did get very wrong. Suikoden was good because you could find and use different combos for different things. this game by the time you save up 3-5 SP no point in using the combos because each character does better damage just attacking themselves.
For a little bit in the early game some do decent damage but once you get the SP saving runes they legit lower your damage a ton. Now the aoe heal is actually just kind of broken strong honestly but outside of that nothing much worth it usually
@@purplatypus7405 I agree but atleast both can be given a rune of yoru choice. I just started mid game putting water runes on everyone. With that combo plus the water runes in extra spots(not wasting MP by not having a usable rune even on ones without lots of MP. It still helps esp on hard mode.
I was so underwhelmed with combos that I stopped using them altogether. As for Lilwin, she has proven herself as a zombie meat shieald, never want to see her in my team again
Healer ideally is the 2nd best speed. The fastest to use items to resurrect your down party and then healer to heal the entire party. It drives me crazy that you can’t target individually your down party (for healing items or single target healing spell) while enemies can. I have many boss fights where they immediately killed off my characters after they’re resurrected.
wouldn't even waste time with the combos, until they adjust the dmg its just not worth it unless your bored. Momo for ex. for me is just melee attacking for over 1k dmg with the build i got
It’s kind of jank that the description uses terms and there is no glossary. The game shows you characters stats that you can improve and then basically references hidden stats and formulas without so much as a sniff of explanation. Use this item to power up 2 character’s flombarage bewblicker meters for 1087 femtoseconds of combat time!
Hero combos need fixing either by increasing the damage or reducing the sp cost. In suikoden unite attack is not that great tbh (only some that are worth to use) even when free and you can use it every turn. The cost is already high by itself, i.e. having correct members in your party, so adding some type of opportunity cost make hero combos more difficult to apply
Chandra and Nowa hero combo is the best damage wise for me.. they can do it as early as turn 1 as it only requires 1 sp. If you put the rune where it gives fiery fire on the dragon then its basically a can of whoop azz combo..
Only problem with that is that characters that take 2 party slots are the worst characters in the game. They don't get two actions per turn, they don't get two SP per turn, they have fewer rune slots than 2 characters, and their stats are overall are pretty basic.
While the Light and Dark heal combo is admittedly great, it does force you to use 2 characters that are average at best. Falward is ok, but his runes are low star, so his usefulness past the mid-game is pretty questionable. Francesca, while arguably a fan-favorite, is just outright worse than most other mages.
There is game breaking bug that wont let me continue the story. Late in game after i talk to seign on top of the castle . Then u have to talk to euma. It says on current goal you cant get to sleep. Try taking a walk. But in game its day light and nothing progresses the story. At all. I have no backup saves.
there's something wrong with recruiting Syd.. every time i collect the necessary materials.. it suddenly disappears from my inventory.. my castle is at level 3 just finished snowpeak.. reyna is bugged.. instead of 3 rounds you have to deal enough damage in 2
