NOTE: As of version 1.2.0, the phantom wave setup has been removed. It's still useful to get the hang of placing wavebreakers as low as possible on ramps to still hit elevated areas, but even when you get it just right the waves will no longer be invisible. Unfortunate but probably for the best lol
I love the Dualie Squelchers. The mobility of the primary, the utility of the sub, and with the knowledge presented here I can now unlock the full supportive capability of the special in my favorite weapon's kit. All that on top of not being shackled to the MPU meta means these drills and my skills are ready to make waves in new waters.
@D-a-m-i-an Giving an enemy an extra problem to worry about is exactly the name of the game. Against an E-Litre or Heavy cornering you and applying tons of pressure, adding additional timed jumps to the mix is a lot of pressure
At first I hated the fact the Wave Breaker was on my favorite weapon, but after using it for some time, i like it. The 45 damage you take per wave can easily clean up stragglers that you didn’t quite finish off
awesome guide! I thought wavebreaker looked underwhelming in the reveal trailer but trying it with the dualie squelchers ive completely shredded entire teams and fallen in love with the special. I used to play more supportive with the cdc ink storm in 2 but the wavebreaker makes it so fun to play aggressive
Very good info, but one thing to mention is purposefully exposing your wave breaker to bait out people trying to shoot it down, only to punish them, is also a valid strategy in certain situations.
Okay first of All i love the Battle Revolution Music youve chosen. I have a question though. Is Special Power Up recomendet and if so how many? Im not really sure how many are too much.

I stopped playing my two favorite weapons from Splatoon2: Dualie squelchers and range blaster, because of their kits(especially wave breaker). With what you showcased in this video is might give em a new chance. Thank you Update: I'm back to being a vds, range main, having like 27% of my playtime being on vds
Hated this special at first but after tinkering around with it, easily one of my favorites it's soo good for taking control of an area or pushing if used correctly.
Barrier+Waves should be pretty good, almost making the counter play to it limited to just jumping over the waves. Tho barrier could be more useful for other purposes
On Eeltail, you can also throw it on top of those vending machines by the side, it doesn't have a lot of coverage but it hits both the bottom level AND the top ramp, saved me a couple times
I like to post it up near the battle, so they have to focus me or the wave breaker waving at them. Kinda like the mini sentry in tf2 (mostly only effective in 1v1 or 1v2)
Honestly, this special kinda reminds me of Killer Whale in S1 for how it functions. It is very easy to use but you can online entirely capitalize of it by thinking a lot of the setup. I wish I could say the same for 5.1...
Tend to always get killed as soon as I get my special so I've built a habit of just tossing it out the millisecond I get it but I hope when I get better at the game I'll be able to utilize this tech. I'm S rank btw
