I've searched high and low for the BEST SLEEP PRODUCT to help alleviate noise disturbances from noisy neighbors or a snoring partner, and I've finally found it! And no, it's neither a white noise machine nor earplugs. I purchased a sleep headband from Amazon, put it to the test, and in this video, I'll share the results with you. Could this possibly be the best sleep aid available on the market?
Instead of attempting to soundproof your bedroom for a quieter space, the sleep headband could offer an excellent alternative for individuals who live in rental properties and are unable to make modifications to their living space. This holds true also for those who might not have the budget to invest in soundproofing their room; this solution could be just what you need. With nearly 50,000 reviews and an average rating of 4.5 stars on Amazon, what could possibly go wrong with a $20 product?

My wife snores like a drunken sailor, especially after a bottle of wine. I use good quality ear plugs with some satisfaction. Having 2 Great Danes guarding my wife and they snore as was is sometimes a real game changer. 😊

Please suggest me good earplugs. I have the same problem... My roommates snore like a wild elephant. I can hear traffic or any other noise but can't bear snoring noises.

I bought one of these out of desperation. I play rain sounds with wind (There are 10 hour videos on RU-vid for this, I connect to my iPad and let it play overnight), no noise disturbs my sleep anymore. I have dogs barking, traffic and a downstairs neighbour that occasionally has conversations on the phone at 3am. None of these things bother me anymore. I love my sleep headphones.

hello I have a problem with the noise in the windows, it is too big, the windows that I have in the apartment are almost 2 meters high and 1 meter and a bit wide, the problem is that it is a single glass window and at exactly 11 at night The front building turns on the electricity generator every day, annoying high-pitched noise while watching your videos. I put two layers of moving blanket but I couldn't solve it and today I bought sound deadener car for cars and I put them inside the two layers of moving blanket with velcro but no. I got results... What would you recommend doing with this type of noise? stick some acoustic panel over the windows? I would greatly appreciate your response, thank you.

I have just found your channel - brilliant! I have two questions if that is okay: 1. I have a noisy neighbour above me, part of it is noise, but it is also vibration, for instance if she slams a door, I not only hear the door slam I also feel the door slam - is there a way to construct a bed that blocks this vibration please? 2. Instead of soundproofing a room, would it be possible to create a soundproof box around your head that does the same job? If so what would the implications be for ensuring air flow is maintained with oxygen levels still high. For instance creating a capsule bed sort of thing, like those found in hostels. Thank you for your channel!

Did you ever make that video on how to build DIY window plugs? In the video "Soundproofing Windows - What Works What Doesn't" from 2 years ago it was mentioned in coming a couple of weeks, then again in the video "Soundproofing Apartment Windows From Outside Noise!" 1 year ago, but I wasn't able to find it.

Hello Do you happens to know of a music-less version of this product? Something just thick to wear at night to lessen a bit snoring noise. This doesnt look bad for the price but i'm a bit afraid since its electronic and i do not care at all about this functionnality

I have a club that shares a wall with my apt. Sometimes they have a live band and djs playing until 3 am every night! The club’s speakers are on my shared wall and my bedroom is on the other side! Will these help? Or do you have any other suggestions? I can’t move at the moment!

Yes this will help but you can easily return them if they don’t help enough. Best of luck.

Would putting acoustic foam or panels on both sides of a wall be effective? I've got a thin wall between my and a flat mate's bedroom that I can hear him snoring through
@soundproofguide
@soundproofguide 11 месяцев назад
It would be effective if you'd put them in the rooms where there are echo. Sound deadening material will drown out echo and make the space less noisy but in terms of actually blocking noise from the other room, it will do little for that.

Yes! This is worth trying! Links are in the description and if it doesn’t work for you, return it, it’s Amazon 😊 But in all honesty, I was going to return mine after making the video since I don’t personally need it BUT I’m keeping it for hotel use or camping. Cause it works for me!

Thanks, bro. It’s been 2 weeks since i got ur advice. Seriously, you saved me. I’ve struggled with insomnia for like a year. I tried so many things and nothing really worked. Living in Japan, it’s not unusual, and even the police can’t do much about it. But your advice? It was a game changer. Now I’m doing great, balancing my part-time job and university, having 8 hours sleep. Moving home kinda expensive here, you know. But really, thank you for you advice.

Can you speak to the pros and cons of the $100 RunPhones? For whatever reason, they won't ship the $20 sleep band to my address. Thank you!
@soundproofguide
@soundproofguide 11 месяцев назад
Great question! The biggest pros on the RunPhones versus the $20 dollar ones are the sound quality and comfort. The sound quality is much better with the RunPhones if you’re wanting to use them to listen to music and not just noise for sleeping. The other pros is comforts, the RunPhones are more comfortable and won’t get as warm on your head if you live in a warm climate. Hope this helps!

How much low-frequency soundproofing can we expect from decoupling a room? My concern is propeller planes.
@soundproofguide
@soundproofguide 11 месяцев назад
You should get relatively good soundproofing by decoupling the room but if the plane noise is actually shaking the house since it’s coming from above, you’ll be disappointed with the decoupling. You will receive some noise reduction but in the case of plane noise, it won’t be as noticeable.

You could try a white noise sound machine. I like the Lectrofan which has different fan sounds and white noise. It doesn’t block sound completely unless the sound is further away. Could possibly help your roommate sleep better too.. I have a deeper sleep myself when I sleep with the machine on. Another idea is sleeping on your side with your arm over the side of your head completely covering your exposed ear. I know it sounds dumb but this is what I did when I shared a room with my sister who snored loudly and it worked better than having an uncomfortable earplug.

@soundproofguide
@soundproofguide 11 месяцев назад
It could work well for someone snoring a few meters away HOWEVER, if they are snoring right beside you, it might not be the best unless you turn the volume up enough so they don't bother you as much.

Hello love your videos sir. Moving into new condo what is the best way to completely sound proof the whole thing. I want something semipermanent. Think put it up, live in it for ten years then remove it all and patch up screw holes in the drywall? Hope that makes sense.

This doesn't block out thumping noise does it?? I think it doesn't
@soundproofguide
@soundproofguide 10 месяцев назад
Not if it vibrates the entire room or the thumping is coming from the bed itself. But outside thumping, it does for the most part.

As a guide, using your phone for sound just to fall asleep will make it far worse long term. There is always an underlining reason why you cant sleep, mostly mental problems. If those are not addressed you just have a temp fix that will get worse longterm. Just address the pain source instead for the love of god, you will think me later ^^
