I love those lifetime free updates & I get them every so often. I'm actually on twenty, but I never use the damn thing!! Somebody help me!! I'm a hardware junkie, so I have an MV, Maschine Studio & the Live. FL has truly evolved since its early days & I need to make time for it. You made the track so effortlessly!! Nice tips. I flip phase on one kick when stacking kicks to see if one way hits harder than the other. Sometimes I move one slightly by a few samples or milliseconds also to try to get a more solid sound by getting better phase alignment. Another thing I do sometimes is cut part or all of the bass out of one kick so it won't clash with the low end other kick.

So the trick is layering + using transient processing when you want a kick to have more punch and a fuller sound, which nobody who's been produding for longer than like 2 weeks would've EVER guessed. Fucking clickbait.

I have a question, so when you say you're done with the beat, do you mean completely done or would you still have to structure it (verses, chorus, intro + outro etc...). Are boombap tracks structured differently if people are rapping over them v.s. not, such as a j dilla track or something?

When I say i’m done, I just mean as far as adding extra sounds & whatnot. Now as far as formatting it, I usually format it the normal way (intro, chorus, verse, chorus, verse, chorouse, outro) if this was for a beat tape or something then it would have a different format to attract listeners. Thank you for the inspiration and I loved the beat, too. It was very dope. Quick question: I am knew to this, as you can gather from the following two questions: Where can I get those thick kick drums and exploding snare drum sounds that Pete Rock, Large Professor and Q-Tip use on many of their pieces? And lastly, once you filtered the sample and isolated the bassline, will you now filter out the bassline in the original sample so that you don't have two basslines simultaneously? I love making a sample boom bap beat...but people are continuously trying to turn me away from it telling me I cant release or share it because its sampled. How do you get around that paticular issue.

Just release it!! Lol, that’s how you get around that issue. As you see I sample in pretty much every video, & have release beat tapes with samples on them through the distribution services. I haven’t had any issues so far. So keep making those boom bap beats, and release it. 💪🏾💯

Thanks fam!! The transient master tightened it up & made it punch. The decapitator is a saturation, and brings out frequencies.
