Use UV DYE to find OIL LEAKS FAST! 

Ooh, good info. I once spent a few weeks locating a leak on my ZG1000. I cleaned and cleaned and looked and looked. I think I even used athlete's foot powder (Desenex) to try finding it. Eventually I located the leak in a highly unlikely place -- the ceramic insulator on the Neutral Safety Switch! The switch is hidden *behind* the water pump on many Kawasakis of this era. Sure enough, the ceramic insulator had a very small crack in the insulator that surrounds the electrical connector at the center. Finding and curing this leak was very satisfying. I bet this UV dye would make this process go much faster.

Good info. Please do use the UV safety glasses. UV damage to your eyes can be (very) nasty and is not worth taking a risk over.

Love it or hate it, but some of motorcycle oil products come already pre-dyed with UV-fluorescent dye, like Motul 300V 4T.

Pick up a UV beast flashlight, best flashlight out there

The glasses are meant to increase the contrast, making it easier to spot.
