does this QDlink also work when the car is moving? i tried mine, but everytime the car starts moving, it stops working. it only works when the car stopped/idle.
Hi there. Assuming you are using an android phone, yes this QD link will still work when the car is moving BUT you can only access certain apps like WAZE or google maps. However, for screen mirroring functions, it will stop working (as in give you a safety notification saying that you shouldn't drive and look at the screen). I believe this is a safety feature that i think most modern cars have nowadays to prevent drivers from driving and looking at the infotainment screen to watch youtube or something. So basically you can't open apps like youtube, social media or even look at your phone home menu while the car is moving. So far, according to my experience, you may only open navigation apps like waze or google maps on QD link while driving. Hope this info helps.
For the Waze if you want to use it on horizontally it says there that you need to open permissions in the phone first so you only have to set the perm only it can be used on horizontal/landscape mode
Hi bro. RU-vid or netflix hanya boleh tengok time kereta tak bergerak. Hanya navigation and music app je dibenarkan berfungsi di QDlink semasa kereta bergerak. Harap maklum.
Thank you for the support. Will definitely more videos on the Persona in the future. Can't wait for the Spotify update. 😊 Btw, congrats on getting your new car. 👍 Enjoy.
I think you cannot add in RU-vid and Neflix on the app because those apps are consider entertainment apps that has the potential to distract drivers on the road. So for safety purposes they only allow navigational apps, music apps and also communication apps like whatsapp.
@@jumanaraggam8 Yes this is a safety precaution. Even in android auto or apple car play i believe the system don't allow you to open youtube. So that's why you cannot add those apps into QD link. But if you watch my video, you will notice that i did provide "a way" to watch youtube or netflix on the proton persona mc2 screen by using screen mirroring. Which means whatever that you play on your phone, you just transfer that view to the sceen. You are using the infotainment screen as your phone screen. But if i remember correctly, your car must be in neutral or parking mode. Once the car moves or you switch to D gear, the screen will black out.
Pada pendapat saya, persona ini dalam kategori “ok sahaja”. Tak lah jimat sangat and tak lah kuat sangat makan minyak. Tapi kalau banding dgn bezza, ativa, dua kereta tu lagi jauh jimat.
Yes you can. I have a separate video tutorial on how to connect the the iphone to the QD Link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6hMSr5TszBA.htmlsi=P8BsMkwfEnG_OQ5H
Yes i think for iphones, you don't need to download the app, just directly connect the cable to the USB and it starts mirroring. The process is easier. I think i will probably make another tutorial video for iphone users. :)
Hi yes i have read about that and i believe currently it is for the Proton X50, Persona MC2 and also Iriz MC3 only due to the fact that they run on the Atlas OS. I am not sure if the older persona model will get this feature unless proton decides to update the OS of the older personas to run the Atlas system then i guess they will probably get to enjoy that Spotify update as well.
Hi there. Yes, Definitely. I think most cars can do that now. Even entry level cars. But my unit is missing the video player for some reason. I only got the audio player. I will get the proton service centre to install it for me next time i go for servicing.
Unfortunately vincent there is not. Although paul tan did came out with an article a few months ago saying proton will provide a system update that will see spotify installed on the system. But until now no sound. I guess maybe proton scrap the idea.
@@verorreviewssomething8291 I see. The waze and spotify are the only concern before getting my persona premuim. Currently i am applying the car loan, waiting the approval.
Hi Veron, does your radio have these 2 problems where the volume will sometimes become loud on its own and also sometimes the radio will have crackling sound like it’s losing the channel but it’s not? Just checking with all Persona 2022 owner too.
Hi there, so far i have not experienced any problems with the radio. But maybe that is also because i don't listen to radio often so that's why i can't really tell if there is something wrong or not. But when i am listening to the radio, i have yet to experience volume problems or crackling sound. But maybe the problem is with the radio signal rather than your car radio.
Mind does tat... Even its slow then the real video. Better don trust it while reverse. The sound issue i yok to proton they fix it but aftr few months it occurred again. Its annoying ciz it wil be laud max n its new.. Eerrgghh.
It also works on iphone but there are some downsides. I have a separate video tutorial on how to connect the iphone to the QD Link. CLICK THE LINK BELOW: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6hMSr5TszBA.htmlsi=P8BsMkwfEnG_OQ5H
Hi bro i am not sure about the 2019 variant as i have never been into it. But if the car has QD link built into it then i guess you are able to do the same.
Make sure you connect to the third usb slot which is the nearest to the driver side and you also have to authorise your phone, allow the permission to utilise your phone.
You cannot install anything on the infotainment system. QD link is just an app to display your phone screen to the car screen. Everything is from your phone.
If you have netflix app installed on your android phone, then yes you can mirror netflix onto the infotainment screen. But only if the car is in parking mode and not moving. Once the car move the system will close any video display. This is a safety feature.
Hi there, i am not 100% sure, but as i watched other reviews on the Persona MC2 Executive variant, it seems that they DO NOT have QD Link. But they have easy connection, which is also quite similar to QD link. You may use that instead.
Hi, the X70 has a different built-in mirroring app which is called MirrorLink and it is different from QDLink that is in the Persona MC2 and Proton X50. I have never tried the MirrorLink on the Proton X70 so i can’t really command on that. I don’t know if you can install QD Link in the proton X70 infotainment system because it already has MirrorLink, so it’s best you ask the people in the proton service centre relating this technical matter.
When the car is in parking mode, you technically can screen mirror youtube which technically means you can screen mirror netflix. But, it’s pointless because once the car starts moving, the system will disable youtube or any video app for safety reasons. So the simple answer to your question is YES. But there is no point doing it.
