If you have prescription sunglasses, I was told to not keep them in the car. The heat in a parked car can cause the lenses that have coatings to fail. It’s annoying but yes :(

Why is it more safe in winter than a sedan with winter tires and 4WD?

Shorter wheelbases and the more balanced weight distribution those bring are one reason why SUVs perform better off-road and in snow. Also, the clearance of the car is important in our climate due to snowfall over 25 cm while sedan will not be able to go throughout. The SUV is heavier which gives it a better grip with the road.

@@andrewnik8728 Come to Sweden and learn. Even here you get by easily with a sedan during winter. All you need is good winter tires.

@@andrewnik8728 Jeep owner. Everything about this statement is wrong lol. SUVs have longer wheelbase, are less balanced and being heavier makes them sink in snow. To perform off road you need Low Range Gearbox and articulating suspension, the X5 doesnt have. SUV advantage is ground clerance and 4wd which not even all X5 have(sDrive). A Subaru or Audi Quattro would do same or better. Also that saint plaque above your seatbelt is a granade if airbag goes off.

Hi, all BMW products is balanced more close to 50/50 I am not arguing that X5 is off road SUV off course not! But for people who live like me in Canada and see lots of snow good enough)

У нас была до этого RAV4, но если честно сказать это другой уровень нельзя сравнить эти авто, да Тойота надежная, но она неудобная и едет как бревно по сравнению с Х5 тут действительно сделано для наслаждения и вождения. Любая БМВ не дешевая в ремонте но в основном мотор Б58 считается одним из лучших, коробка ZF и сцепление тоже очень надежные, если на машине не «наваливали» и донаты не крутили то в среднем по б/у Х5 в основном пробеги легко за 300к. Зависит от дохода семьи, тормоза к примеру колодки на перед стоили около 550-600$ нужно просто прикинуть если тянешь расходы то можно смело брать. Если впритык тогда Тойота будет более экономична. Кстати Х5 жрет всего 10 литров на 100км и это удивительно как для машины такого класса и веса и я езжу не медленно. Очень экономичная, РАВ4 меньше и 9-10 литров на 100км…

@@andrewnik8728 550-600 - это только сами колодки, или вместе с работой? У дилера сколько будет стоить, если вместе с заменой тормозной жидкости? Сколько oil change у дилера стоит? Или у тебя пока весь maintenance бесплатно был? (В Штатах вроде первые 2 или 3 года бесплатно, не знаю, как в Канаде). Ран-флэты нормально едут, не жестко? И сколько резина проходит в среднем? 40-50тыс км максимум?

Приветствую, 500$ это цена только за передние тормозные колодки, тормозную жидкость еще не меняли не знаю цену. Масло моторное меняю в другом гараже мое масло( покупаю на скидке) их работа и фильтр что то около 130$ получается. Если в дилере менять думаю 200$ а то и больше. Резина стоит Пирелли нет авто не жеское, зато в повороты вкручивается как седан. Проехали почти 47К и еще хватит на одно лето. Мне сказали заменить одну заднюю покрышку 700$.

Honestly it’s lifestyle, your driving in the snow often, camping, beach days, towing, hauling heavy items, and even off-roading which I do all mentioned then this is for you. But if you drive to the supermarket and back, mostly city driving buying an X5, doesn’t make sense to me at all.

It is impossible that a 5 series is more comfortable than a X5 from the same generation.

Them little 5 series ace are so cramped and tiny, how can any man he comfortable in there . Low to the ground and squeezed inside of a tin can

Приветствую! На данный момент поломок не было, только замена масла и тормозных колодок. Так конечно авто приносит сплошную радость, но так как я взял ее новую и она на гарантии была( только закончилась)) и пробег не большой примерно 15 тыс за год всего, то я думаю если и брать то с наименьшим пробегом и обязательно проверить у механика перед покупкой. Если есть вопросы отвечу без проблем)

Спасибо за ответ! Я рассматриваю вариант с пробегом 38000 miles. Мотор 3-х литровый бензин. Просто очень много информации про BMW и про то как она часто ломается, а попасть на дорогой ремонт совсем не хочется. Есть вариант покупки новой Toyota Rav4 или 2020-го года BMW. Ценовая категория одинаковая у них.

@@EmiCent93 За те деньги, что стоит нормальная X5 2020 года, можно найти годовалый Highlander Limited с 3.5L V6.

We drive less because of pandemic, so now it is only about 40k on the car at the moment, nothing broke since we bought the car.

Not so far, we use car every day, not much maybe 30-40km only

Not yet car we use only 3 days a week, nothing broke so far.

there is adjustable front seat, but not the back/rear seat or recliner

So far no problem, just oil and filters changed. Great fuel economy with current prices for gas)

Heh, yes you right the back seat has no recline, and they also quite deep so for small kids must sit in car seat or booster and then we need to ask kids how comfortable is the back seat :)

My X5 2019 middle row seats recline a lot. Get the one with the 3rd row and they put in the X7 reclining middle seat.
