Took a Grab car the other day and so happened to be a SX4. The suspension was indeed rather comfortable. Car still looks good without any rattle and sound.

SX4 got 2wd / AWD version and it was a rally car used in 2007/08 WRC / Pikes Peak race car 😁 For those driving manual & looking for new car , still can get $22k Axia-E brand new from Perodua.

Thought of getting a 2nd hand Swift when I was in the market for my 1st car. Ended up with a 1st gen Vios instead and never regretted 😂

Hi Kon, guess to each their own. Personally would recommend 1st car for a fresh grad to be a brand new sub 50k car like a myvi. Reliable, low maintennace and holds value upon resale. 5-6 yr loan and push it off then. 2nd car at around 27-28 yrs old, go for a decent upgrade based on budget then assuming career is stable. Just my thoughts.

Drive shaft issues , then if engine or transmission engulf in problem , very hard to find replacement , not even half cut.

I prefer this to vios. Bought two used toyota vios, compared to this suzuki sx4, the vios is less comfortable, lowered, more or less space with the sx4. And the sx4 is cheaper. Sold the vioses and got this instead. Best buy, comfortable, relaxed car. I only upgraded the audio unit to an android one. Less than rm8k.

The list of cars maybe under 30k, 20k, 10k for city cars, highway cars and enthusiast cars. For people considering their 2nd car, fresh grads, for the elderly and for those who does not want to take a loan for 5/7/9 years. Solid car but drinks quite a bit of fuel. Uses older Suzuki 1.6L petrol engine so reliability should be fine!

I just bought Sx4 hatchback year 2010 on July last year. Bought it just because of the limited edition bodykit that looks like Swift Sport Zc31s. The car has been stranded for 2 years, i felt that she needs to be saved. Bought it for dirt cheap, spend 20k to change everything possible to new & original Suzuki including transplanting Swift Sport Zc32s engine in it. Now rides reliably with enough power to cruise at 160kmh 😁

Suzuki cars engineering wise are pretty robust
