For the love of God, if you're buying a Ford fiesta make sure you're not getting one that was plagued with the dual clutch transmission recalls. There's no fixing it, they replaced the transmission control module but the faulty ones warps your transmissions prongs and they won't replace that part unless you're willing to shelf out a couple thousand dollars.

On my second. If you just need a car, the 100hp zetec is good. Better than good. If you like to have fun, get the ST-Line with 100hp. A simple (undetectable) tune to 140hp and a set of UHP tyres make this brilliant everywhere all the time. And it looks fantastic. As for reliability, one exhaust sensor replaced under warranty.

The Fiesta is still popular, it's just grown onto the Ford Puma.

Still a lovely looking wee car but unfortunately there's hardly any of them going about in the UK which is really surprising when you consider for how many years they have been a best-seller. Just goes to prove that all good things must come to an end, even the iconic Ford Fiesta.

The Fiesta has become stale. Sure it has snappy handling, and drives well, but that's about it. It used to be one of the only small cars to offer driving ease, good practicality for it's size, and competitive price. All those plus points have slowly been eroded over the years by it's competitors. Ford's build quality isn't what it once was, and is now decidedly so so. The new Corsa, Seat Ibiza, Polo and others now offer arguably more style, better build and finish, and some are also just as nice to drive. Some undercut the Fiesta on price now too..... Ford's "can't be arsed" customer service hardly helps either.....My partner bought a brand new 07 reg Fiesta, and before we collected it it and drove it away from the dealer, I had them come out and walk round it with me, while I pointed out the various paint defects and scratches. We hadn't even sat in it at that point, let alone driven it, so they couldn't pin it on us....

The reason that they've lost sales is because of that 1.0 ECOBOOM, absolutely atrocious engine From somebody who's never had anything but Ford for the last 20 years their reliability have gone to one of the lowest manufacturers out there

Hi, a South African here. I’m responding to you as you say you’ve driven ford for 20years. I recently purchased my first ford. It’s a 2019/20 ford figo trend. I’m absolutely loving it so far. Would you mind giving me your opinion?

@@mickeyd7283 you should be OK as long as you haven't got the ill faited 1.0 ecoboost engine that is the only option in this vehicle Any diesel is OK 👍

@@robertback3048 thanks for the response. It has a 1.5L, 3cylinder petrol engine. It pulls like a little rocket and grunts pleasingly due to having only three cylinders.

@@robertback3048 There are hundreds of thousands of Ecoboost engines around. You obviously had a bad one. That doesn't necessarily mean they're *all* bad, just that yours was.....

@robertback3048 Год назад
@@Brian-om2hh there are thousands of 3 cylinder engines going ecoboom, that's the nickname for them in my mechanical trade not just as weve had them. Just search online for all the failures, they also recalled them for failing due to loss of cooling and offered to replacethem under warrantydue to amount.
