@@mydickisincrediblytinyandi7380 I would say the s10 would last longer because of the IP rating. But that's just me, if you never expose your phone to water or dust ever, yeah I guess A71 is the way to go.
@@kotztotz3530 the a71 doesnt have an official IP rating but the a51 is IP68 rated and the a71 can hold it's own in water. The s10s water protection is far better though. And I don't use my phone near water that often. All depends on what your looking for I guess.
Not for me, A71 has bigger screen, Way better battery and an odd one here but I like to have FM radio and the a71 has it the s10 does not, the a71 also gets an extra update properly
I had to make the same decision 1 month ago and I picked A71 over the S10.. I wanted a big display for content consumption and great battery life for longer use and Im absolutely satisfied! performance is about the same, based on the video and I dont use my phone near any water (I got my gopro for that, so IP rating is not necessary). I dont care about the plastic build since I put a sturdy case on any phone I get.. Camera its good I got no complaints, I can use google camera and lowlights looks amazing! Plus, I will get 3 more major android updates..
@@shreyass2447 Not a probability?? You STUPID?? Galaxy a7 2018 got 2 years of major android update. From Android 8 to Android 10.. Whats stopping them from giving the same treatment to one of their best selling device of 2020?? Not a probabilty your ass
Maybe a ip rating, but id rather have a plastic phone with crazy specs, than a aluminium phone with average specs, A71 has some crazy good things like the 64 mp cam, 4500 mah battery, 6,7' amoled screen, it probably wouldnt be possible at this price without a plastic build, and i dont care much for materials, i dont even like aluminium, it can bend.. and glass, it will break if dropped.. no i like plastic phones, ok ceramic phones are pretty sick, but that is a crazy expensive material.
I get 8 hrs screen time in a single day of use on a single charge and its amazing! I never had a flagship phone that could last this long.. not even my old note 9..
Battery life matters , So does the rest experience , I have two phones, Galaxy S9 and A70, honestly if I had to pick only one of them I always go for the S9 . Don't base your smartphone experience just on a battery life and screen on time numbers only. But that's just my opinion 😉
@@FaresDjebbar build quality, wireless charger and stereo speakers... now where do i start... wireless charging is a pad that is connected with a wire so its not wireless. build quality is useless. everyone in their right minds uses cases so who gives a crap. stereo speakers are nice but the a71's speaker is enough.
The flagships have always the higher hand over mid-range and budget phone In the first 2 years In the 3rd and 4th year we can get to comparisons After that RIP the flagship
You throw away a flagship after 5 years, but you throw away a midrange phone after 4, so...it's basically the same. You will have less compatibility issues with the flagship through it's lifetime. There will be much more brands making accessories for a flagship than for a midrange phone.
Whilst speaking of the phone’s performance would you possibly include a quick shot of Geekbench 5 results. Although benchmarks don’t speak in real world day to day uses but it does give viewers an idea of how powerful the chipset is inside the phone your speaking about. No worries if not this is your content but figured I’d toss that out there.

The best part of buying a flagship phone is not the performance but the wireless connectivity bandwidth a flagship chip has, just compare The download speeds of both of this chips. you just have to learn flashing custom roms and you would be using a flagship phone with up to date software for at least 2 years.
i've owned the A71 for a week now. Can't speak for the S10 cuz I came from S7 edge, but only speaking of battery life, which is huge to me, I went from 100% to 15% in 60 hours...NO ADDITIONAL CHARGING!!! I went on youtube, watched videos, played games, texted, made and received calls. I've LITERALLY only have charged it 3 times in a week of owning it. Just fodder for people curious if 1, battery life is important and 2, if it REALLY does get that long....NO BULL...IT DOES!!!..and charged from 15% to 100% in an hour and 9 mins..NOT KIDDING AT ALL.
Samsung has reached a point where both their flagship and mid range phones are colliding while s10 is a fabulous phone A71 has some great features like the bigger battery and bigger screen which is why I choose A71 and let me tell you it's insane how good this phone operates one of the things I love about this phone is no matter how big or graphic heavy games you play on it it never gets hot or losses battery that much I play a lot of games and I only charge it once a day the only difference is it looks different on the outside but performance wise it works on par and dare I say even better than the flagship
I got a refurbished s10e, I'd prefer it for the processor alone, s855 allows you to use the pixel camera for astrophotography, better night sight, battery life has been great even for my heavy usage. I've already seen firsthand how "well" the lower tier snapdragon processors perform especially over time and its not something I'd ever want anyone to deal with
I would consider the A71 as well but I've been told the A70/71 have suffered from constant system instability issues eg. system crashes which have not happened to the S10/+......
Bro quick lil ask for next videos I would recommend maybe some digits on the side because u do have some free real estate on the left of ur vids it would be nice because I can remember all the numbers
I have a S9. I love it, but absolutely hate the curved screen on the edge. I would prefer to have a flat panel to get a wider variety of screen protectors, and have less worries on that front, plus I hate accidentally touching the side. I honestly prefer bezels too, so idk i must be in the weird segment I don't like notches or hole punches.
S10e is flat. It is sad that the S20 line has no S20e. Got the S20 and it is really nice, the curves on the edge are minimal. But the problem for screen protectors persist. For S9 I would try a tempered glass with UV light like dome glass. It is wonderful
You shouldn't buy into the A-series your much better off getting an old flagship, I had an a50 when it came out and absolutely hated the design, build, and terrible cameras + processor so I got a refund and bought an s9+ which I loved since then though I have switched to iPhone. But please do not buy midrangers buy older flagships just watch one of mrwhosetheboss's new vids and he'll give you a lot of reasons why you shouldn't buy a midranger.
Last year i bought s10+ what i would say its a great choice.Still perfectly fine .Working as intended. No issues.what i would say,as general user is if you find a refurbished samsung s10 or s10+ i would be a good deal as it still can compete or better than some 2020 samsung.Plus this s10 generation only have off-centre camera cutout much more for s10+with dual lens front facing 4k60fps video recording.Bcs i am a streamer/vloger so that why isaid it perfectly for with ip68 dust and water resistant. This is my opinion.
I use an a71 and I dont necessarily agree with the "all flat display". Even though it doesnt have edges like the s10, it just feels like the screen is rounded off a bit. Visually you cant see a screen from the side, but I do think the glass is curved to just make it feel smoother, and to enhance the Edge screen that the a71 does have.
@@ayato___ that's fair. A lot of people don't like curved edges. I personally don't mind it but I do see the problem with unintentional interactions with the screen.
@@ayato___ yea I get that. You have an idea on what phone you are going to buy? A71 has no problem with accidental touches, if I may recommend one. It is VERY massive though.
@@thomasvo3061 I've considered buying the a71, I personally love huge screens, but I've decided to go with the note 10 lite. I've never had a note and I'm very interested in using the pen. There's not much price difference between that and the a71, at least where I live.
The s10 only comes with an Exynos chip instead of Snapdragon in my country so its a hard NO from me. BUT there is also the s10 LITE which is the perfect middle ground between the two phones mentioned here.
I didn't even know about the A71 until today, and I just bought an S10 2 days ago! I got a brand new one however and it was $599, so it was considerably more than a used one. But I guess I feel good about it. But I'm aggravated that it didn't know about this option
I bought the A71 for 335euro worth it for sure.1st A71 have all flagship samsung settings.2nd more modern look(much cheaper)bigger screen no extra xxx bixby button, Radio, headphone jack bigger battery better look of the back cameras modern style. On hands you think you hold a flagship and heavy phone. After all Maybe it is better the plastic lol 😆 it may not brakes so easy as the glass.Anyway we all have cases those days so no big deal. I prefer front camera on middle, modern and better .Also it has an Amazing selfie ,very good sound and and and ...All things are just in the place that sould be. S10 is much more expensive 2019 model. On real life all good! No drama and no big deferences vs flagships phones. Anyway who looks the phone from the deepest side? To notice the littlest difference on screen that you tell us. For me is zero. The screen is amazing on A71.
I agree with what you said but I honestly dont think the s10 camera is better. The chipset of the s10 doesnt make the image processing so much better to the point where it surpasses the a71
I like the design, charging speed & battery life of A71 cuz it gives me more of a 2020 vibe but I like the screen resolution, camera and wireless/reverse wireless charging etc of the S10. Cuz flagship killers like A71 aren't meant to replace or devour their flagship relatives but give people a taste of how it feels to use a flagship-caliber specs on a phone.
So... Which one is the better one and why is it the S10: -way better display -way better build quality -wireless charging -reverse wireless charging -usable cameras -superior processing power -better in display fingerprint sensor -more frequent updates -will also receive android 12 -faster storage -more RAM The only advantages the A71 has: -bigger but shittier display -center hole punch If you can snag a decent used S10, don't even think about something as shitty as A71. Since 2017 A series went to shit
Hi I'm selling a Samsung s10 phone with case, box and headphones. Headphones are new let me know if your interested, I'm planning to buy this phone a71
ouch the snapdragon version only exists in the usa, in europe the galaxy s10 is definetly not recommendable the exynos processor is really inefficient.
A big phone feels much better in the hands, the weight is nice and it gives you this kind of premium feeling. The displays also look better and usually are better, just like the hardware inside. Only problems would be if you have small hands or really tight pockets
I got my s10+ for $0 upfront with tab fees of $35 per month for 2 years. So basically on release when paid out I only spent $840 CAD which is about half of the price. :D
so your end conclusion was to take the flagship because it was a flagship and it was discounted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ would go for A71 simply because it have more megapixels which give you more option to cut/edit pictures and a bigger screen. the performance of phones today is so good most people wont notice a difference aslong as you dont do something heavy duty. also S10 have a curved screen which is easy to break. the price difference is about 13% which is significant for many buyers (according to your prices)
Still rocking S7 Active. As a photographer, if you can make a phone call with your camera, you need a better camera. They are handy but use a camera if the photo really matters.
The chipsets aren't comparable. The S10 gets 390 on Antutu, whereas the A71 gets 265. While this isn't a big deal in everyday use, it is significant for long-term reliability and high-performance gaming.
I feel you bro, not even the a71 is as cheap as this first worlders have it, is 620$ where I live, and the minimum wage in this country is barely 300$ and it isn't enough to live on.
I'll pick an S10 and get its battery replaced because I have proven to myself that I don't need an IP rating at all, but my mother uses an S10 and its battery is dying real quick
Once you go flagship, you never go back. Even if it's an older phone. For me atm in late 2020 the S10/S10+ is still #1 choice for my next phone. I'm currently still enjoying my LG G7 ThinQ, but it's starting to slow down and the battery struggle thru a day after 2+ yrs. Maybe when the S21 drops i might consider the S20 if the price is reasonable.
Well in Europe a71 comes with snapdragon. S10 with exynos. So only because of that a71 is a better option... ( yeah yeah I know, that I compared mid-range snapdragon cpu against exynos last years beest exynos.. But still...)
Easy Choice for me. The A71 wins hands down. I'm a phone repair guy and I would much rather have a phone that isn't made of glass and ditching the rounded edges is also way better imo. Less chances of it breaking and it's probably lighter per square inch. I'm sitting here with the video paused at 4:32 so admitedly I haven't finished the video but so far every single feature that has been discussed is a win for the A71 in my book. It's price is also down to about $275 on ebay right now.
To give you a lower price, they have to scale down some things. Compare a bmw 3 series and 6 series.....Do you think owners ask why didn't I get the same upgrades in my base model? It's still a bmw, however with each class, more bells and whistles are added. You can't expect all that a 7 series offer, to be added to a 3 series at a 3series price. However if last years 6 series preowned with low miles was the same price as that 3 series you were looking at.....Most people would have to consider which would be more bang for their buck, and personal preference.
I dont think the a71 is the a series high end. There is the a80 and a90. Honestly coming from huawei midrange, glass back, smooth performing budget device.. Im disappointed by the a71.
For narmal users the difference isn't noticeable getting the A71 with better cameras more updates and warrenty with a flagship look makes more sense. Most people update after 2 or 3 years anyway.
I’d rather the A71 honestly. Flagship phones can handle updates for ages but probably won’t get them since they’re meant for people who can afford regular upgrades; midrange phones however force Samsung to cater to people with lower budgets. So yea
Thank you so much for all the info. looking to buy newer samsung galaxy .....upgrade since s5.....was looking towards s10...helped to make my choice. Thanks!!!
I choose the A71. Bigger screen, bettery battery. And because the difference in screen resolution is hardly noticeable, I have never broken a phone dropping it so couldn't care less about the metal vs plastic. Also, speed is hardly noticeable. Naw, I'll take the new phone with the bigger screen please
I don't know if Amazon renewed is any better, but I find buying refurbs is such a wildcard. 80% of the time they are just plain used. I plan to stick to new in the future.
That’s fair! I think Amazon renewed and places like Swappa have a little higher quality of devices. I haven’t been burned yet, but know there’s always a chance!
Should i go for samsung note 9 exynos or a71 snapdragon in terms of daily use performance and also camera ... need ur suggestion.. really apperciated if ur reply
Yeah I can live with plastic but it's not hard to have informal water and dust protection. Just rubber rings and speaker covers and it's waterproof enough. Makes their life easier too cause people don't return them with damage as much if waterproof.
I will be 16 in June so my dad is gona buy a new phone. But I don’t know what phone should I pick, I’m thinking on the Samsung s10 and the Samsung a71. I will only use it as a teenager, take pics, chat and play, nothing professional. So which one?? pls help:(
Basically the real difference is that the A71 has a Snapdragon 730 and a 32mp Camera. The S10 has a snapdragon 855. A71 is not worth buying at the $75 price difference.
