Никогда так не делайте. При таком креплении саморезы будут испытывать постоянную нагрузку на срез и в итоге лопнут. Да и вообще каленый саморез не для дерева, используйте гвозди.

Uh. Also, don’t drive a screw directly into the end grain. It’ll hold for now, but thermal expansion and humidity will eventually split the grain around the fastener.

I'm an armchair carpenter, I'd rather NOT compromise the integrity of the wood by drilling an unnecessary hole in it.

note that this only works if wood is not old/dried out. Old wood will split if you screw into it with the grain like that without pre-drilling it first.

Приблизительно так я собирао шкаф производства г. Пенза модель ШК603М! Мои родители за всю жизнь ни разу не сквернословили! Со сборкой мебели и наполнением от Икеа не было проблем! Но тут я вспомнил детство и юность! У меня выросло несколько астральных рук, ног, крылев и мощных хвостов! Так-то я даже Шкафы Бэста от икеи усовершенствовал в части крепежа к стене! Но тут люди лет 50 лепят унылый товар, ни инструкций, ни сверловки, ни фрезовки! Как врагам! 😂😂😂 Я потом напишу писульку, этим пенсюкам пензюкам! 😂😂😂 Ребята! Порой простые решения приходят на ум легко! Просто надо дать врем им появится в голове! Всем удачи! ❤❤❤

Old masters 50 years ago connected wooden structures without self-tapping screws using so-called “Dowel joints”.

First of all, don't use screws. They don't have the shear strength that nails have. (at least those don't)

Why are you using drywall screws for an exterior application

Definitely depends on WHY it's like that, though. If the lumber is slightly warped, then that's one thing, but if it's bc the concrete blocks are shifting/bulging, that's not going to do much of anything even temporarily. Specifics are MUCH more helpful when giving "tips." Just saying.

Порою мы не догадываемся о простых вещах. Правильно говорят: век живи - век учись !!!

Но гвозди прочнее, чем винты. Есть конечно массивные винты не уступающие по прочности гвоздям.Все нужно смотреть на месте. Если временное сооружение, то на шурупах конечно лучше, открутил их без проблем, а с гвоздями нужно потрудиться. Короче, гвозди забывать нельзя, они твои лучшие друзья, шурупы прикалены и могут отломиться, а гвоздь никогда. Это нужно помнить всегда.

Люди, человеки 😏, эти шурупы только для лёгких внутренних отделочных работ, где нет сырости😊, для наружных работ и серьёзных нагрузок этого делать нельзя 🤔, ваш дом через год, два, весь начнёт разваливается, и этих роликов, и подобных тысячи в интернете, это очень плохой вариант и плохой пример для подрожания😊.

Я не уверена, что брус не треснет в месте саморезов, при таком натяжении...

The issue is at the screw you used to pray against, you could have just done an angled screw from the back piece into the piece closest to you. and accomplished the same thing but better and stronger AND faster. lol

But if you force it to push it like that, it‘ll be later. As time goes by, the tree splits.

Screw heads will pop off. Dry wall screws are for DRY WALLS.
