I've had the NDH20 for a couple of years now since release, and your video telling us to check them out. I use them exclusively for all my guitar playing pleasures without ear fatigue or any discomfort. Totally recommend them to anyone looking for something in that price range. I have the Openback Massdrop x Sennheiser HD6XX for a lighter more airy experience. Thanks for the video Fluff!
I have the same headphones, and totally agree that they have a precise sound. The bass is more like Muhammed Ali than a sumo wrestler. The quality has a price - a fair price.
I just ordered a second pair of these (in black this time). They are quite excellent. While I mix and master on Neumann monitors (KH150's and KH 120 II's). I use these to check certain aspects of the songs I produce.
Yeah, I ordered mines yesterday. I do also have Audio-tech 40, which very decent, not sure if Neumann is an "upgrade," we'll see. Thoughts? Also, I wanted a headset which is versatile for listening and mixing, thoughts? Thanks again!

Hey there, i'm waiting for mine to arrive, i have a ID14 interface and i know the headphone amp is enough to drive these, but is the quality of the headphone amp on these budget interfaces enough to get the most out of these banger headphones?
No, being open back the sound would bleed into your microphone for vocal tracking. Snag the Sony MDR-7506 for vocal monitoring. Cheap, light and sound perfect, for what you are seeking. One caveat, the original earpads flake off black flecks after much usage but there are tons of replacements designed for them.
I don't think so. If you're into the "audioplhile" thing, I'm pretty sure you won't like their sound for "just listening". They're a tool (an excellent one) for extremely analytical listening. They are not "pleasant" headphones. They are merciless. To make them "sound good" as I guess you mean, you need to EQ them. The good news is that they respond to it admirably. All in all, I wouldn't say by any means that these headphones are a regular "audiophile" thing, unless you understand that very very "nerdy" critical listening falls within this label (which is my case, btw, but this is another issue).
I got pair of 30' at beginning in general they sounded a bit "lifeless" and was kinda "sharp" in hights, but after almost 30h of burn in with pink noise they opened a bit more up and get overall smoother haracter. I use them with my mpc instead of studio monitors because I live in apartment with terrible acoustics and quite thin walls. They are very good pair of headphones and to work with them is easy. They are overall analytical sounding and have good instrument separation. Just like you would expect from pair of good monitors in acoustically treated environment. They definitely are excellent studio "working horses" for money, but if you want to use them just for hi-fi listening, than maybe there are more exciting sounding options.
Some other Audiophile quality headphones from Grado, Bowers & Wilkins and Mark Levinson. I have not used any of those in mixing though. I can recommend the best set of in ears I have used by a company called Ultimate Ears, I have the UE 18+ ears and they sound stellar.
@@NickC1975 I also chose between them. Beyerdynamic sound is more aggressive, Neumanns is more neutral. I bought a Beyerdynamic because you can find any components in case of a breakdown, unlike Neumann. I really enjoy my DT 1990 Pro, the have awesome build quality and detail sound. Beyerdynamic headphones are industry standard unlike Neumann's headphones. But I mix and mastering my songs only with dsoniq Realphones. If you want mix and master without correction it's a bad idea, because they all colour sound.
