why are there always such big chunks missing from the reel? in the first minute there's a huge QB scramble for a first down with 5 minutes left in the first then it jumps to the 10 minute mark of the second. what happened in between?

Lovin the check in the booth for pi and roughing the passer calls. They are truly making sure every call goes right. Those returns have been lightning in a bottle. Did not expect case cookie to be a star in this league

@Zac's DIY Guns which I think is also a plus. Too many ticky tack fouls in the nfl. They even reversed a roughing the passer which is one of the bigger penalty problems in the nfl

I wish the NFL could improve their refs and penalties. Too many times a bad call changes the outcome of a game.

@Zac's DIY Guns bad calls happen all the time but I've seen much worse game changing calls in the billion dollar league. Every week outcomes are determined by the refs and i wish that would change.

@@SoulD.Flygod Stars owned Generals pretty much throughout the old legendary OG USFL’s existence. Every time the Generals won it was lucky. Every time the Stars won it was pretty much a blowout.

The cool thing about the 1984 playoff game was that the Generals swept the Stars that season providing the only blemishes of a dominating season. Stars went 16-2 that year then blew out the Generals and the Wranglers to win their first title.

I know right the Philadelphia stars own. the New Jersey Generals in the play-off but the New Jersey General own the Philadelphia stars in the regular season

@@bluecityempiresports1468 3-3 in the OG USFL. Tied. Stars swept in 83. Generals swept in 84. In 85 tied 1-1. When the Stars won, it was in dominant fashion. When Generals won it was always close. The Stars owned the OG USFL. They were the class of the league. They would’ve beaten some NFL teams. And not necessarily the bad ones. I think they would’ve been between a 6-10 thru 9-7 record. Depending on the division they were in.

I’m just pleased at the fact that this league will actually finish a start up season. Although the USFL is revamped version of the 1980s league. what helped this leave was deciding to use NFL style of play even with a few more features to go along with it.

@@youtubeemployeesarestupid3464 The one venue model isn't supposed to be a permanent. Apparently the reasoning behind it was to keep cost down and the fact that the XFL is due to start next year shouldn't be seen as a major issue. What these leagues are doing is providing opportunities for guys to play ball. Not everyone is going to play NFL or even good enough to take advantage of opening that might be there so these leagues offer the chance to play without going to the CFL. As for the USFL and XFL? A time may come when top college players opt to sign with one of them, spend season or two honing their skills before making the move to the NFL if an opportunity arises.

1:00 NFL needs to do the same thing as far as reversing awful personal foul penalties that completely change the rightful outcome of the games. 2:10 That was a great reversal to awful officiating.

The transparency is the key thing here that makes USFL officiating good. Even if the call doesn't end up going your way at least you can understand the reasoning behind it.

39 years ago I won a Dodge Charger at a Stars Generals game at the Vet. At the age of 11, we took the money instead. I also told Herschel Walker to stick it when I went to the sidelines to take the picture 😂😂. So, today is a great day!

This was a good game! I was routing for the New Jersey Generals, but they were out played, and at the end the Stars seemed to wanted it more than the Generals. Maybe now the Philadelphia fans have a team to follow......🏈🏈🏈

Eagles are one of the most successful franchises in the 21st century, almost 60% winning percentage, 14 playoff appearances, 2 Super Bowls, 1 World title. Garza here sounds like a Cowboys fan salty just because Nick Foles has won more playoff games as QB for Philadelphia than the entire Dallas franchise in the last QUARTER CENTURY!!!

4 USFL Championship games and the Philadelphia Stars will have played in all 4 of them(OK, they were the Baltimore Stars for the '85 game). This reminds me of the 1984 season when the Stars went 16-2 with both losses coming against the Generals but the Stars beating them in the playoffs. Go Stars!

General's O-line was terrible on passing downs. Their run blocking was decent but not enough. Credit Star's defense secondary in taking away their opponents big down field plays away. Perez only real option was throwing into tight coverage. I'll pin the blame on General's coaching not preparing them for the playoffs. It look like they were playing a regular season game out there. They were simply out coached.

The difference did in qb play. Cookus has looked like the best since he began starting. Perez was off and on, and Johnson carried them through the mid season

What a great overturn call on an atrocious roughing the passer call that basically determined the winner of the game. Pitiful the NFL can't fix an issue for 50 seasons it took the usfl 1 season to fix. 👏 👏 👏

Great game!!!! The USFL did a good job in season 1. Last weeks game was better in my opinion. Personally I think Birmingham will win. In the future I would love to see a XFL / USFL merger. A solid 16 team league.

I love American football and even watched USFL games from Melbourne 40 years ago with Herschel Walker, Jim Kelly..................... A lousy one-star Philly (6-4) beats a five-star (9-1), General, as they did not certainly "pull rank!" How did that happen? I had NJ at the start of the season to play the Stallions and win the Championship Same as 1983-85, they never reached full capacity! Sorry mates...........another unpredicted thrashing, see you in 2023!?
