Love this piece and enjoy this interpretation. So many people are technically perfect but miss the dynamic emotion.

I'm used to a faster performance of this song, so in the first few bars I found it strange. But then, when I started to understand his ideas, I found it incredible. Ghostmagoric

I was able to see Nikita Koshkin perform this in Mesquite, Texas of all places! Probably around 1996-97.

This right hand technique kills dynamics and madness of this piece.

Hard to believe this is named after the R&B singer... joking. But seriously, my favorite Edgar Allen Poe-themed piece of music.

+Víctor M. Gallardo What bothers me with this version is the liberty taken with the tempo. there's too many crescendo's and decrescendo's. It's not a version you could dance to. I'm learning this one right now so I've been listening to a lot of different variations. it's hard to listen to this after you hear John Williams play it. But if you ever do get the chance to see Thomas play it's definitely worth it. He was in Edmonton a couple years ago and we made him do 4 encores. So Thank you Thomas!!!!!
