I'm an instructor at the Kentucky Horseshoeing School. We issue students Werkman Hero knives and some of the Bassoli knives. I have used the Werkman knives for a couple of years and they hold up well to new farriers learning how to sharpen knives.
ray legel told me to throw those skinny/3/4 used blades away, cuz they'll snap and could land in your forearm. i like that idea of frog trimmers left and right.
This one answers some questions. What do you think about tungsten pins? Do they punch holes in a trailer mat? I have some sketchy bridges to cross. All slanted 'n such so if they get slick, I'd be a little worried.
They shouldn’t ruin a rubber if applied correctly. I’ve used em a good bit on horses that were riding on the road quite a bit and helped with gaining traction, especially downhill.
What is your favorite knife so far? I’m fairly new still and our default is hall brand drop knives , but I’d like to try something new just to many options to pick from 😂
Ill be honest with you I didn't watch the entire video so apologies if you already mentioned my question...... which would you say is the best knife you used from an ergonomic standpoint?
I don’t think he distributes them to anywhere yet and is pretty low key still. Best way to find him is on Facebook and he’ll post occasionally when he has some available or can personally message him to see if he is making any anytime soon. Very well worth the money and the wait!
