We usually had a shotgun, but not in every police car. We had normal haircuts and s police uniform, not a military one. We also did not think we were special forces and we didn't dislike civilians. We talked more and used violence less. Take care buddy. Your dad too. I'm 70 yrs old now. bye.

I love the aesthetic of revolvers but don’t love their practicality. Even with speed loading their still subpar but I can’t ignore the beauty!
@FlyingKSports
@FlyingKSports Год назад
They're definitely not subpar. If you are in bear country, you'd better be packing a revolver with some heavy loads. Also, revolvers are the choice for handgun hunting. The revolver is a specialized tool. You just have to match the tool to the task at hand.

Speed loaders require practice, practice, practice. In a gunfight, you would need to be able to reload while keeping an eye on your opponent. This means a cool and steady hand that performs the reloading even more smoothly than tying shoe laces.

Like everything in life, practice make proficient.
@agustingonzalez3878
@agustingonzalez3878 Год назад
@FlyingKSports yes, but in the case of speed loaders, practice keeps you alive. We had them when I was a cop and we were issued s&w .357s loaded with .38 special semi-jacketed hollow points. It was campus police at a university with a high crime problem. We carried a light load since something like a .357 has a tendency to go through walls. The hollow point also stops faster. Anyway, we practiced with semi-wadcutters and even them and the hollow points were clumsy to speed load. Ball ammo would have been easier, but it wasn't allowed. This was in the old days, and a lot of cops still carried .357.
@FlyingKSports
@FlyingKSports Год назад
@@agustingonzalez3878 my dad was a cop in the 60s and 70s. He carried round nose lead ammo for his .38. They thought at the time .357 was too powerful. He felt at that time he was high speed, low drag!

@FlyingKSports wow. So he was a little before my time. Even in the 80s, and I imagine even in the 60s, we were always out gunned. We were disarming people of their semi-autos all the time and all we had were our 6 shooters. What gave me a little confidence was the fact that the criminals were all incredibly stupid. I used to wonder what we would do if the bad guys had ever thought to use radios, or to surveillance the way we did. They had the Mac 10s, the semi- automatic rifles, the sawed off shotguns, and we still beat them every time. AND we took their weapons!

Like a Browning A bolt or Husqvarna (yep the chain saw maker lol). made Swedish Mouser. Like glass. If you ever get a chance to shoot a surplus Swedish Mouser in 6mm. OMG idk what they did. But I'd swear the two I worked the action on and the one I owned. It felt like they had used polishing compound on all the mating surfaces. It's like the Python feels but In a military surplus rifle. I have a speed loader for a CO2 shell revolver, and it's better than any speed loader I've seen for real guns. It actually has a catch release in the centre, and when it makes contact with the drum it forces the shells in under spring tension. None of that twisting or pushing malarkey you do with the ones I've seen on the internet for real guns. Makes it almost impossible to fumble the reload.

I remember seeing cops with speed loader on their belt. They were bulky and awkward.

Might as well have black powder nowadays I love wheel guns but it's not for firefights anymore

You just don’t see moon clips for the .357 magnum!

I have a legitimate question.... Is it faster to just swap out a magazine or use a speed loader for a revolver
@FlyingKSports
@FlyingKSports Год назад
I have to admit changing a magazine is quicker. It take some time to get the speed loader aligned with the holes in the cylinder.

I use my left hand only holding grip in right hand. Speed loaders on right side of belt. Left of holster

Even with the reload the revolver only has 12. Big advantage to the auto loader.
@metalandwood4u

even with 4 reloads it only has 24. my springfield elite 3.75 9mm has 22+1. and with 1 reload, 45 rounds.

🤔 like the 7 shot 686+ or one of the 8 shots. Let them think you're out, then ask them, did he fire 5 or 6 , do you feel lucky 😆🤣

I use moon clips. Their fastest and accurate in reloading. More control.

I practice this with a similar gun but I'm nowhere near as smooth. I use the Massad Ayoob stressfire reload and find it I can't reliably do it unless the gun is pointed 100% straight down so gravity has maximum effect.

I know it is taught with gun vertical up to eject casings. Vertical down to drop new rounds in.

Sometimes the power and penetration of the .357 magnum makes up for the higher capacity of the that lightweight 9mm.

@r.tomrobison8307 Год назад
@@bobstark4020 that was back in the mid 80s. So in early 90s dept. were changing to autos. So then I was a lot faster. As with anything with proper training I became faster with the auto. Dose that help.
