Excellent video except for one thing.... I don't think your hand should ever go past the blade even if your fingers are wrapped around the fence unless you're using a push stick or push block where your hands are further from the blade. I've learnt this the hard way and while the injury wasn't life changing it certainly was a wake up call. Use the guard where possible!

⚠️ As a reminder, I STRONGLY encourage the use of a blade guard and/or riving knife. Just because I removed my blade guard for filming purposes (and my Dewalt saw is not equipped with a riving knife), does not mean you should operate your saw without them too.

Well covered. I like the miter gauge with hold-down option. Would be great if you could show how to build one from wood!

I think if you wish to cut multiple boards to size with a high degree of accuracy, then the table saw is a must have piece of equipment, no other tool can achieve this.

Hey buddy! The saw in the video is an old DW744 type 3, which they do not make anymore. The new version is the DW745S - amzn.to/2sn6mBh

I wish you would have gone into more detail about the measuring of the fence from the blade I recently got hired as a carpenter for a company who I can’t name obviously but everything we cut is in millimeters and I work a live in the states, full sheets of 3/4 through the saw and to the millimeter perfection any tips would be greatly appreciated as I am struggling

Thanks so much for the video..Sometimes I get my work piece stuck between the fence and the riving knife ..Does anyone knows why is this happening???
@TrainingHandsAcademy
@TrainingHandsAcademy 2 года назад
Most likely the fence/table needs adjusted...meaning the fence and the saw blade are not parallel to each other. Look at your owners manual on how to adjust that.

For someone to have a table saw training video that is more likely watched by new users, I can’t believe you aren’t using a push block or stick or both. IMO you should take down these videos and retake them showing new users the safe and correct way to use this extremely dangerous saw. Shame on you!

I'm not 100% sure... but you shouldn't have to remove it. Give it a try and see if it moves out of the way.

Unfortunately my repertoire of terms in English is low, it would be very interesting if I had the subtitle option in this episode. It helps a lot in understanding, even if in the translation we don't have the correct words but we can look up the term in the dictionary to improve our vocabulary.
