I'm a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock. Your painting reminds me of those short episodes of "Hitchcock Presents". I always heard it's difficult to paint hands....you did a great job! I like how the painting led to your connection with Ed Ruscha. That was fun for both of you, and us too since you shared it!
Absolutely love your painting and the frame! Thank you for the idea with the crystals! I have thousands, as I work in a thrift store, and I often find my co-workers have thrown old chandeliers in the scrap pile.
The "crystals" look pretty. I was wondering if they would cast light. What a beautiful gold frame and cool story! I also like using dishes in unconventional ways.

What great ideas. Wonderful painting and story along with it. I had curtain pins with a clip on them and decided to glue some of my husbands extra transportation tokens onto them but penny's or buttons or shells would work too. Just about anything. I like it very much. 👍💕

Beautiful serving dish, great that it fits in the candlestick so well and ideal use for it. I'm imagining you'll be repurposing the original squint base for one of your sculptures. Definitely sensible to choose that rather than the dented one. I really like the plaster column top too and it's versatility as piece of sculpture and a riser for various possible seasonal displays. Great to have multifunctional items. Thank you again.
If the glass is faceted it probably will cast 🌈 rainbows.. I have a shell mirror too I bought at a thrift shop and its round. They are quite expensive at shops at the shore⛵️
Adding the crystals to the shade was a great idea. I have some crystals, but I don't think they would go with our bamboo shades. I love your painting, and it looks great in that fabulous frame! And, the artist story, very cool!
