I worked for several months in 3 local HUD apartment complexes that had extensive abatement and remodeling. My first concern was cockroaches, but never saw even one. I never considered bed bugs because I have never even know a person or heard of a problem. I found somewhere between 20 and 30 on my bed after spotting one and looking them up. I started out by using packing tape to catch them all and folding it over, then vacuuming over and over and dumping outside the canister. I then went on to spending 4 days straight from early morning to midnight going over everything, vacuuming using a high lumen head lamp only finding 2 afterwards on a recliner I sit in a lot and on some books next to my bed in a console. I got rid of the chair and went through everything thoroughly upside down inside out and bagged almost everything. I sprayed the mattresses, bagged them and sprayed along the baseboards, put diatomaceous earth on a few days later as well. I have those moats or similar traps you have but they don't have the glue boards in them. Should I put some inside of the moats as I have 2 of the glue boards on the intermediate supports of the bed. I get up at night and spot check between my mattress and after I get home as well as checking these moats....nothing since the over 50 hours cleaning of my room. I will not relent keeping a OCD focus on this from this point forward. My biggest concern is my clothing which is kept and has always been kept in a large bathroom off this bedroom...should I put everything in tubs just to be safe? The exterminator which has treated for carpenter ants previously said he would not treat because he felt I had done such an exhaustive and thorough response to the problem and said he would should I feel the need or see a sign or return. I feel a bit better from that, but still want to make sure this is the first and last time! Going to start having my daughter's school bag in a plastic tub as well as her clothing that comes from her mother's to play it safe. If you can, please answer my questions about glue boards in the moats and clothing concerns.

I want to know if I have bed bugs; about 4 days ago I woke up with a mosquito-like bite on my chest/neck and it's really itchy, it still is, I checked my mattress and saw nothing I checked every mattress and even couch in my house and saw nothing but I'm extremely afraid. So do I have bed bugs or not??
