Using Big blue crabs for More Bridge Monsters

That was a beauty of a monster fish, it made me want to cry when you threw it back. I wish I lived a lot closer to the water so me & my child could use the license I get from my disabilities

We got some monster black drums using monster sized blue crabs.. they dangerous bait that fights back ... lol..

Same place i catch alot of black snapper , trout and redfish love that little place

In the 50s my dad and uncles used to fish for grouper. They used a forged hook about 18 inches long with 3 live crabs tied tomit by their back legs. The crabs were about 6 to 8 inches across. You had to tie them one so their claws moved around or else the fish wouldn't touch them. The main line was 30 feet of piano wire ending in a loop. The lop wentmove r a bollard on the jetty. Pull on the wire to see if you have a bite. Can lift it - no bite. Can't lift it - fish on. Then they used a winch cable from the slipway next to the jetty to pull the fish ashore. Most were in the 400lb range. The fish was then chopped up and sold for 1 shilling per pound to locals and tourists. All of it would be highly illegal now though.

I need to go catch crabs. I missed a couple today I dont have the right crab catching gear. Time to get that together.

When sight fishing ,It's been my experience that when the fish runs up to your bait and then backs off it's because they are seeing you.....if you can present the bait and then back out of sight the fish is more likely to take the bait

Me and my fam fish over there sometimes at night they always got big ass reds that hang out around those rocks I never go for them that’s too easy fishing man I go for whatever’s out and under the bridge

I fish around okaloosa island not too far from Navarre and I’ve caught some monster black drum but I use big ass blue crabs circle hook, 80lb mono or steel leader

Dang it man I missed you! I am vacationing on Navarre right now! I’ve been fishing under the same bridge, your first video came out the day before I left Georgia to come out here. I hooked one but he came off. I can’t find crabs anywhere so I’ve been using shrimp but those darn bait fish take bait shrimp as soon as I try to set it in front of a Drum! Y

I remember one of your vids when you said black drum tend to be wormy. Do you eat them anyway? Worms never stop me from eating a fish. Just have to make sure you cook them well.

What combo are you using?

Live in Indiana, Coming down there in May . Going to wet a line . Is it best to use a minimum 30 lb test line for some of the bigger ones?

When fishing crab baits especially soft crabs, I bind it with shirring elastic which assists protection in long casts, strong currents and scavengers pecking at the bait

Insomniac Outdoors makes a jighead called "Bottom Sweeper", awesome jighead for that type of fishing, great for sheepshead as well.
