Here's an idea: "Midnight" (Opal Glowstone) Ring. Basically, Use Black Ceramic Base with White Glowstone, using uncolored and black inlay material, and with tiny uncut diamonds, black marble, and a little bit of the pearl white opal.

@@Minnu11 i unfortunatly grew out of it a few months ago. But it holds up great after like 1,5 year intensive wearing!! Its very light but feels sturdy. Im still in love with the colors and how it refractures light

You should make a rainbow titanium blank or a blank using the different colors titanium can be then just add whatever you think will look good as a inlay.

I like the idea of a tron inspired ring. Like a ring version of the identification disc, from both the original movie and the legacy sequel. It would look cool, if it was a combination of the original disc and the newer one.

How much would it cost to get this ring, except with some superconductor as the base rather than the black ceramic? Would it even be possible? It wouldn't be your usual obsidian finish you like to do with the superconductors, but I think it would be a super cool concept to design

Just ordered the materials for this ring, though I switched the green glow powder for red and the amethyst for garnet, which I personally think will look better on the burning coal/fire like theme of this ring. Cant wait to start on it.

Another Idea: "Old West" Ring - Gold Ring Base, with Wood half Inlay (Briar, Padauk, or Bocote), and either 2 blue oxidized copper quarter bands on either side of the wooden band, or, One blue oxidized copper quarter band and One thin, quarter band of golden/orange/copper-colored opal, resin, and orange glowstone.

Have you ever thought about creating individual clock faces for watches? I am looking for a nice watch with a clock face made out of meteorite for a long time, but there is only crap. So maybe you could make just a clock face and people can build in any watch they want.

Well, it's lab-grown/synthetic opal. I don't know if it makes it more durable than real opal but I hope this helps you get to the bottom of it!

I've noticed you always use a dremel when doing the grinding of the opal and other inlays. Why is that? Can you tell me if my guess is correct? I just started my first ring and was using a carbide tipped chisel and I had entire sections of the opal fly out of the ceramic ring. (yes I cleaned the ring first to remove oil). Is that why? I used the accelerator and waited 5-10 minutes before I started turning it. Should I move to using a dremel? Thanks

Very brittle and very hard. It would be like making a ring out of glass but harder. With abrasives it might be possible, but definetly not easy. Also the ring would be pretty impractical due to the brittleness

Ceramic is basically non-machinable so it's not possible to make a ceramic ring blank without specialized equipment. The blank is made in that shape. You'll have to buy one from him or other retailers or make one out of metal etc.
