USING CLOSET CLEAR OUT TO PROMOTE POSHMARK SALES | The strategy that I use to make 24% of my sales

For the first 5 months of my time reselling on Poshmark, Closet Clear Out just WASN'T working. Dropping all of my prices just to have nobody take me up on the CCO deal was getting exhausting. In this video I share the strategy that I've been using for the past 4 months that has been the key to 24% of my total sales. (From June 1st to September 30th I had 185 total sales and 44 of them have been from this Closet Clear Out strategy, meaning that 23.7% of sales have been from CCO!) The heart of this strategy is something I have heard of other resellers doing, but I share how I've taken the strategy and adapted it to fit within my personal Offers to Likers and relisting methods as well. Hannah: Hi! I want to LYK that I only sub to a few resellers. As a seasoned seller, I don't really need to watch a lot of learning video's. I do my thing w CCO too, but wanted to hear what you had to say, so I clicked on your video. I have to say- I am pleasantly surprised at your presentation. You didn't do the annoying "Ummmm"'s, or drag it out with personal stuff or talk like you took a sleeping pill. Slowwww. Ugh People don't realize how much time they waste of viewer's. I love the line about window shopping too! I've tried this strategy before but always felt a bit pushy so that definitely helps! I also find contacting the "newer" more recent likers helps!

thank you for making these videos. I just starting reselling 3 weeks ago and it is really nice to get a perspective from someone who is knew- ish its a little more realistic to see someone who is starting up. I get anxious comparing how I'm going to live up to more experienced people and all of there tons of inventory and tons of sales. I Appreciate it you have no idea. I am on a mission to be more patient.

Thank you for watching! I totally agree. When I started selling on Poshmark, I immediately turned to RU-vid for information and advice and the only videos I could find were from full-time resellers making insane sales numbers. Often times I left those videos feeling discouraged that I could never scale to that size. My goal is to provide helpful info for part-time resellers so I appreciate you saying that! ❤️

I love the five item relishing rule for closet clear out. I’m definitely going to implement it. Chris from Daily Refinement suggests that we should relist or edit 5% of our oldest listings daily to keep our closet fresh.

Thank you so much for this video. I’m a small new seller. Only about 20 items. I did what you said. I lowered the price 20% and Poshmark offered discount shipping. I had “likes” on about 10 items so I lowered the prices and I made 1 sale!! That made my day! Now, I want to figure out these “parties”. I hope you have a video on those.

That’s awesome! I don’t have any videos on parties, I don’t bother with those too much. I’ve just noticed the app is typically the most active during the hours that the evening party is happening, so I try to relist during that time if possible 😊

If your item has been listed for more than 60 days, you can edit the listing and down at the bottom there will be a “copy” button that you can use to relist! These listings will function as something brand new and show up in the “just in” category on Poshmark. If they have been listed for less than 60 days, you can still copy it but it won’t act as something brand new. In that case, you’d be better off manually relisting it by reuploading all the photos and copy/pasting the title and description over. You can download your inventory report in your Poshmark settings to see how long things have been listed. Hope that helps!

CCO doesn't work for me. But I'll try the relist part. I have a North Face Hooded Sweater - sold then was cancelled quickly by the buyer. I don't how that happened. With first listing I have about 27 likers on the same item but no one would take any offers I had sent these 27 likers. I just relist while I'm watching your vlog. Will see how will it go. New in your channel. Love your content since you add stats and experience based - that will help resellers alike. Thanks.

I always send out offers twice a day: once when I wake up and once in the afternoon. If it’s not a CCO day, I’ll keep this same routine! If I wake up and it is a CCO day, I will send my Closet Clear Out message to my morning batch, and I’ll send it almost immediately to people who like things all throughout the day. I want to give people as much time as possible to see the message on a CCO day so I don’t wait until the afternoon to do it on those days. Hope this helps!

Great video! I'm trying to figure out just exactly how you go about offering on CCO? When I hit offer to likers (private) then enter my offer, it also asks for a shipping discount. Do I put FREE and PM will automatically cover it?

Nope! The CCO deal comes from dropping the price on the listing itself, not from using Offers to Likers

Question? When it is not CCO, the offer that you send to likers is it a private message with discount (individually each) or do you send a discount offer using the OTL button and send it all your likers? Thanks for this helpful video!

Question - do you send out that CCO message and potential offer to more than one liker on the same item? Or just the most recent liker? Because what would happen if you sent all the likes on the same item that message and then two or three of them replay saying "Yes I'd love that offer!" and now you lower the price so CCO goes into effect and everyone gets the offer but now only one of them will be able to buy it. Have you ever had that happen? Just wondering.

Hey Robin, this is an EXCELLENT question and in fact, it’s the same exact one I asked Christina when I first learned about this messaging strategy! I was super worried that two people would say they’re interested too. I always send out the message to all likers at the same time. Fortunately, that awkward situation hasn’t happened to me yet but if it did, I would honor the buyer whose notification came in first (the one who said they wanted it first) and then just leave a message for the second buyer letting them know the situation. Alternatively, you could temporarily block all other likers so that they can’t purchase it, and then unblock them once it has been sold to the intended buyer. Blocking someone is reversible and users don’t know they’ve been blocked so this could be a simple way to make sure the intended person gets to buy it!

Hey! You rock! Ok, so for CCO, the offer is good for six hours but the shipping discount is only fir one hour? I’m so confused about the shipping discount timeline. Help!!!

If you drop the price of a listing on a CCO day, it will permanently stay that price (unless you change it or relist it) and the shipping discount is good for 6 hours. So after that, they can purchase at your new lowered price, but they won’t get the bonus shipping discount at checkout.

If I have no Likers, but drop the price by at least 10% and then Share to followers, if anyone buys it during those 6 hours are they offered the $4.99 discounted shipping or do only existing Likers get that deal?
