Excellent and informative video. I even use this DX Maps site to check for FM DX. Back in the days of analogue TV, SpE was excellent for receiving distant Band 1 TV channels.

Love love love it!!! This is so well explained. I’d like to use part of this video on my channel I help people understand DX maps. I’ll be sure to again credit your channel as well as it put a link to it in the description section and ask people to subscribe. Because I do shortwave forecasting daily, this is really a nice piece to help people with. Great work. Well organized and exceptionally done. Larry de K7HN

I think theoretically the high bands at night should be dead, because they just penetrate the ionosphere and does not reflect back.

higher frequencies at night do not penetrate the ionosphere they just continue into space due to lack of ionization. only when sporadic e skip happens do they bounce back at night on higher frequencies
