@@teohontech7141 LOL wow I just tested that after you said it. I had red unpluigged and upped the brightness. It hit 83 and the display turned off. Plugged red back in and lowered it and don't need red again. That is WILD

Thanks for producing this video! I have an older XP-Pen display that only takes their 3-in-1 cable, and for this, it looks like I may be able to get away with using a HDMI extension from the desktop PC through the wiring harness that goes to wire holders behind my standing desk, black USB would be connected to a USB hub, then red USB would be connected to a USB power adaptor or built-in USB power output depending on what power board I use there for switched power (I have 2 power boards under my desk; one that's always on, and another that's switched).
Maybe a Thunderbolt 3 / TB4 cable would work? There are a few 3m long thunderbolt cables. Maybe the adaptor (fem-fem) might be the problem for longer distances?
I bought a XP PEN Artist Pro 16TP. I was able to get the HDMI and USB extensions to give me video and connectivity, but in practice the tablet would lose connection for a few moments and not draw randonly. Also, drawing dots was impossible and there was no pressure sensitivity for them. I don't have iGPU on my PC so I couldn't use the USB-C connection, but I plugged it into my laptop and it worked great The whole idea was to use it with my PC so I returned it. I talked to support and they said you can't extend the cables for these reasons. I wish I knew what to do to replace it. Even if my PC wasn't far the standard cables are too short!
Take this with a grain of salt, but on these shitty proprietary ports, what I've done on drawing tablets where you cant get a normal micro usb or usb c cable into the port is just to shave off the perimeter with scissors and a knife until it fits. Usually gives you a very snug fit with no wiggle room so no worry about damaging the female port. Haven't experienced any issues yet.
My Huion Kamvas RDS-160 also has the same problem with USB-C extension: it managed to power the device but for some reason there's no video signal at all. I think it's a common problem with pen displays because I've seen people with similar problem in reddit too.
Thank you for the video. I went ahead and purchased a USB Type-C video cable for my XP-Pen Artist 15.6" Pro which has the 3-in-1 cable. It successfully powered on the tablet, but would not accept any input from the pen which ultimately rendered the extension useless. Any suggestions?

@@teohyc Mine is a USB-C tablet. I just tried the USB-C female-to-male extension cable. The device powered up and displayed as another screen like normal, but wouldn't take any pen input for some reason. 🤷
Any (not cheap) cable not from the xp-pen store is suitable for connecting USB-C to USB-C? It's just that in their official store it costs the same as some of their tablets... If it is possible to buy an alternative, non-official cable, how many amperes should the cable be??
As long as the USB-C supports video transmission, that cable will work. But you have to find a cable connector that is small enough to fit the port on the pen display. Spigen cables have small connectors.

Note that USB-C to USB-A does not transmit video. The USB-C to USB-A cable from XP-Pen also has HDMI for video, so the USB is used to provide power and data. If there is no USB-C to USB-C cable and you need one, it may be better to get from XPPen. Because the USB-C connector on the XPPen pen display is quite small so not all USB-C cable will fit.

Hi, great information, as always. I want to ask have you try Samsung s6 lite 2022? Several reviews says that it's great for drawing. I'm curious about your opinion of that tablet. Once more, have you try drawing using a 2-in-1 laptop? Maybe HP x360 or Lenovo Yoga 7i? What's your opinion about 2-in-1 laptop for drawing?
I generally don't like 2-in-1 laptops for drawing because display is usually 16:9 aspect ratio which is a no-go for me, and I don't like keyboards that fold 360 to the back. I don't have the Tab S6 Lite 2022
I have bought Wacom one, It has a micro usb slot in it, but its difficult for me to carry many cables, so i have plugged an otg (micro usb to usb A female) which i have connected to another usb C cable, it supports 3A-4A transmission, which i have finally connected to the pc But the tablet is not working or lighting up 🙂

You'll have to use HDMI connection for video. Since this video talks about extension cables, it means you will probably need a long USB-C extension cable from pen display to the 3-1 cable which is connected to your coputer
@@teohontech7141 i wanted to use it on a huawei matebook d15 actually! Since i only have 1 hdmi port and 2 usb-c ports (don't have display port). So the hdmi port will serve as the connection for the video output of the tablet to the laptop then?
1-Does USB-C cable work with any laptop? ( I have Lenovo ideapad 300) 2- Also my laptop's battery is dead (doesn't work) so it's always connected to power to run, will there be a problem if I connect it to a graphic tab?
Possibly crazy question but do you think extending with a 20m cable(s) would work? My pc is in one room and I'd like to be able to work just on the tablet from other rooms like living room. Would there be any latency or other issues? I can't use just the USB C cable so would need to extend 2 cables (still cheaper than ipad so that's why I'm considering this)

Dunno man, with all these confusing usb c cables, It looks so much better to just stick to plain old hdmi+usb a. Why did usb c have to have so many different types.

there is on thing you did do wrong, let’s say that you codn’t find an USB-C cable that has an end with Female to Male, then you can use the Female to Female adaptors. but the again, HDMI female to male cables EXIST! way didn’t you buy that one???
I'm sure there are all sorts of cables and adapters with either female or male ends on either ends. The most important thing is whether they can transmit video signal. I tested a other cables not shown in this video that can connect but could not transmit video. Anyway, I just want to use existing cables rather than buy so many, eg so many types of HDMI cables which I have many already
