Look at me flying around. Isn't a cool? Well I am only going to show me doing it, but not tell you how to do it. WTF is this douchebag nonsense? Down thumb.
Well he didn't last five minutes on foot, but it would be more accurate to say the didn't last five minutes of foot. Though most men don't last even five minutes of foot, traveling tends to be a turn off.
Lazlo dying anyway reminds me of the scientist in Black Mesa who tries to treat the guard injured by a sniper. I don't remember if this is the case in the original, but he's set up so if you kill the sniper before he can shoot the scientist, the scientist will panic and run into a mine field. But in Black Mesa, for some strange reason the scientist will sometimes walk slowly instead of run, giving you time to go destroy all the mines before he gets there… and spontaneously explodes. :D
Also Roggvir in Skyrim. If you kill the headsman set to execute him, he doesn't get decapitated, but WILL suffer an instantly fatal aneurysm a few seconds later anyway.
interesting fact, the sniper's bullets actually are hitscan but the sniper entity only initiates the shot after the appropriate amount of time has passed for the distance. so he fires a fake bullet first, then after the appropriate time has passed he fires the real hitscan shot as the fake shot lands. it's like a source engine hack for simulating projectiles using the existing hitscan system
First do a 360 back away from the political official your about to treat and then do an accelerated backward bhop of the window, after you reach the border just 360 off the soldiers and then backward bhop your way to seoul
I like to skip the lighthouse a little differently. There is a big rock that pretty tall and close to the big hill. What I did was initiate an accelerated back hop and then go off of the ramped surface on the rock and land on top of the hill. The level won’t be loaded in yet, so you have to drop down onto the ground and hit the level load trigger. Its way easier, and the only hard part is landing on the specific part of the rock you need to go on, which I can do in a few tries. Btw, thank you for inspiring me to learn how to bhop! HL2 would not be the same if you did not make videos about it.
That's definitely an easier way Still I like my way better because it makes me laugh and getting under the invisible push barrier over the coast cliff is a fun challenge too
I used to always solve the cinderblock seesaw puzzle in Route Kanal by simply stacking the blocks and climbing up on them. For many years i had never taken notice of the seesaw.
Oh wow! I'm SO incredibly STUPID! I've messed with that stupid seesaw every single time I've played through this, not once even considering that I could stack shit! Even though I stack all over the place everywhere else in the game! I'm so glad I saw your comment, FenNick. Thank you!
Combine soldier: “command we’ve spotted Freeman!” Command: “well where is he?” Combine soldier: “he was here and then he did a 360 and flew away” Command: “what do you mean he flew away” Combine soldier: “he jumped and he flew into the sky, away from us”
Command: What?! Thats impossible! Soldier I am going to personally come over there and kick your ass for failing catch Free- *Gordon goes flying overhead* You have a good day now sir.
1:40 *Favorite part* "You hear that? That's an AMBUSH, I feel like it would've worked better if I had to bring a some kind vehicle like a car or something."
That tone in your voice is just the perfect mixture of sarcastic indifference towards the obstacles the game throws at you. My jaw hurts from smiling and laughing.
It's much more intelligent to ABH into it at ludicrous speed and ricochet off of it into the secret cliffside path. I did it on my first playthrough, true facts no lies.
you can't unless you go really fast like in the video. there's an invisible push-box off the edge of the cliff so you need to go VERY fast to get through it. that clip took me about 50 tries of just constantly loading my last save and back hopping over and over again till I went fast enough
Actually you can carefully jump on tree branches and then to the ground without any strafes. I did it first time when I decided to complete the game with as few gunshots as I possibly could. This section involves taking down the gunship so I had to invent a way to skip it.
0:30 "Hello Doctor Freeman" Yeah what's up? "Car's all ready for ya!" Nah don't need it "Come back up Dr Freeman-" Yeah no thanks. "*voice lines overlapping*"
I've watched this many times and still only now noticed that you mention specifically putting the RPG ammo in a nice pile to access later only to leave the arena as soon as you get the RPG.
"I won't last five minutes on foot? I feel like these people don't know who I am." I think they do, they realize that if you go on foot, the trip won't last five minutes before you get to your destination because your *so damn fast.*
I heard that VALVE tried stopping the forward jump acceleration in some games by giving a positive value to your backward motion, which then led to people accelerating huge speeds by jumping backwards... as we see in this video... that being said, how the hell do you know where you are going! argh. too much for this old mind...
im really unsure on why youtube recommends me your videos every second Mr. DeSinc and yet im going to watch them every single time they pop up in my feed
2:30 so that doesnt work anymore, they put an invisible wall there. You now have to jump the bay, towards where laszlo is, and then go into the load trigger from the other side. Its pretty easy
+Max BS Other people noticed that too. The answer is this: There is an invisible barrier that forces you in another direction, but if you go fast enough you can punt through it and get underneath it. Took me about 60+ tries to get the strafing speed to get in there. Another thing: Once you land on the platforms, if you jump too high your head actually touches the barrier and you can get forced off the edge again. You can see this almost happens when I jump to the second platform- my head just skims the barrier and I get forced to the right a bit and I have to quickly strafe left to stay on. In a couple of my 60+ attempts, I made it through, but got punted back off again thanks to gordon's fat head
I figured out a different way to do it, toss a grenade, pick it up with E, then right before it explodes walk off the edge facing the ocean and it will blow up pushing you towards the platform
At the battery gate puzzle thing, I managed to somehow shoot the jeep over the fence with the gravity gun. I really didn't want to do that puzzle huh Yeah also didn't notice a lot of people liked this comment and the creator favorited it xd thanks Oops looks like edits remove the favorite
Combine: Okay we set up a roadblock, he cant get past us- *Gordon Freeman goes flying past the blockade goin 200 mph, lands in a bucket of water and then flies off a staircase into the distance*
Jo DeSinc. I recently found your channel. Done watching all videos. Your edits are Dope your humour is hilarious. Pls keep doing Videos, You are my hero. 360 on that zombie
You have inspired me to try doing half life 2 speed runs. I have accelerated back hopping down a little but I wanna learn accelerated side hopping. Only crouching as well.
