Continuing my practice animations. Music is "Walk in the Woods" from Halo Combat Evolved. Jackal sounds: • Halo: Combat Evolved -... Music: • A Walk In the Woods
Just found your work by freak youtube accident, haha. I love the skill you can see growing along with your channel! I also love the filter you've used. It's delightfully Classic Halo :D
A few little tips from a fellow 3D artist: When making humanoid animations, almost EVERY movement involves the rotation of the torso/hips in some way. Example 1: Your jackle walk cycle seems very very stiff because both the hips and torso do not rotate side to side at all. (Torso should follow the arm swing direction with movement, and hips the legs. etc.) Lean the hips up and down to emphasize each legs movement having weight. Bounce the center control bone left to right showing the shifting of weight from left to right foot. Example 2: Preservation of motion, pogo stick: When a character does quick sudden movements that shift the whole body, (Usually jumping.), the characters appendages/clothing will take time to follow the motion. AKA: When jackel pogo's up, his body should still slightly trail up as his legs start to go down. (You sorta do it in the animation as is, but it needs exemplified more. (This motion understanding is SUPER helpful when animation clothes/capes etc. Jump up, and cape should almost whiplash to follow.)
