I can already imagine the voice... "Okay I can do this" "Oh god oh no" "FUCK, I CANT, i cant..." "*deep breath* okay....." "quick Quick QUICK" "GOGOGOGOGO PRESS IT"
I've just finished the game. What a masterpiece. I had my fair share of encounters like that one. The worst I had was logging my credentials at the emergency phone booth and by the second light goes off, I hear it crawling out of a vent behind me
Reminds me of the end of Alien when Ripley buckles up with her back turned thinking the creature is oblivious, she turns around to it and its ready to strike Lucky Lucky Lucky
The amount of horror that comes with being forced to wait while a monster is in the same room as you is absolutely insane, especially if you don't know if it is close or not. It gets me every time
The hacking mechanic in "Alien: Isolation" is a great way to ratchet up tension. It reminds me of lockpicking in "Thief: Deadly Shadows." In the Shalebridge Cradle level, there are electrified zombies that cause the lights near them to flicker. You can't take your attention away from the lock while you're picking it, but when the lights start flickering, you know there's a zombie nearby and he may have just spotted you.
The long pause like “Should I even unpause…?” lol. I just started this game recently, I don’t think I’ll be able to get much farther before being too scared to continue
@@Suzuha_Amane cap FNAF is only scary for a few days, if you expect the junpscares, get used to the random sounds in the background, the game becomes super boring and not scary at all
I did that exact same pause technique with Resident Evil 3 remake. I never completed the original on Dreamcast (I was young at the time) and its was a highly stressful and anxiety ridden game. So it reflected a bit with the remake. lol.
The PSVR version is real nighmare fuel though. Especially considering you can have it so the Alien can hear you through the microphone as well! Never held my breath so much in a game. Loved it so much, just rebought on Steam, years after the PS4 playthrough I did
I've died at that spot. It's very unfair as if the alien comes into that room you cant do anything and theres no warning so if you were doing a no death run you would die even if you were an expert player
Im currently doing my first playthrough and I never knew that the alien could drop down there (maybe you just took to long). Medbay is though the absolute creepiest one so far in this game.
The alien is unpredictable, for real, once I was hiding in the exact same scene but while the alien was killing the other people, I was at the second floor upstairs behind some boxes, the alien finish and ran directly to me without me making a single noise
I started drinking bourbon while playing this some years ago due to the tension. Of course, I'll play another campaign maybe next year. Might kill me, but I love the challenge.
@@Kelev2484 Trust me it's even worse than you think. Seeing a video of it and experiencing it doesn't compare. When you have the VR headset on your head everything looks 20x more real. You ARE hiding under a table while a 7 feet tall alien is roaming the room.
i was at the exact same spot, after i hacked the door he ate me right at that moment lol i was playing at my friends house, and right before I died, I told him : imagine he‘s waiting until i finish hacking, and guess what he did hahah we had a big laugh
To be honest this game will forever be the reason why I hate so much the reacet enteries and focus on shooting of alien and shooter genera in reacent games
