Using Ledger Live with Your Ledger Nano S 

Initially, I downloaded ledger live through chrome and couldn't get the app to recognize my nano S. Super frustrating! Some thought the problem may be my anti-virus software. After a couple failed attempts to connect to ledger live and a lot of wasted time. I uninstalled ledger live and re-installed using the Brave browser. The rest of the set-up was smooth as silk...Thank you, Rex! You have bailed me out of a couple situations. I donated a little BTC in support. Keep up the great content! Much appreciated!!!

Just got a Nano S, and frankly I am thinking of sending it straight back and I have not even used it yet. Why? Just go checkout the Ledger Nano S videos on their own channel and read the comment section, bursting with people commenting with very serious issues with this device, and more importantly, no support replies to these comments from Ledger. We could be talking about serious amounts of money that this unintuitive device can mess up very easily.

Hello again from the UK. I had to update my Nano S, seems I had it longer than I thought, Still have eventually managed to do this and also Installed BTC and Ethereum, but now I am stuck. Need to transfer them to my Ledger. Sooo, I'll watch you and see how it's done. safety IS the best policy..

Great explanation. How does one exit the app. Closing it down and unplugging USB does not work. If I click on the Ledger Live icon without any attachment it goes straight to my page and shows all the details.? Thanks.

I used to like my Trezor better but now the Ledger is more user friendly. Besides, I cannot store my DGB on my Trezor...officially.

Maybe this question will be more understood. Do you transfer coins from THE WALLET into the ledger or do you transfer from the wallet TO THE EXCHANGE and THEN, into the ledger? Please help. Working with coinbase and ledger S. Thanks.

Crypto Dad..Love your videos they have been a lot of help. I need more help - LOL. I have two questions about LNS. After I send bitcoin from my Ledger Nano S (LNS) to Coinbase. Can I close ledger live and disconnect my LNS from my computer before all the 6 confirmations are processed? I tried to use my LNS with another one of my computers. I installed Ledger Live on the 2nd computer. It wanted me to go through the entire setup process all over again. I was under the assumption that all I would have to do in order to use my LNS on any 2nd or more computers is to install ledger live, get prompted for and enter my password and that would be it. It appears it is not that simple. I have bitcoin stored on my LNS but I cannot see it on the 2nd computer in Ledger Live. I would like some very detailed instructions on how to use my LNS on a second, third, computers etc.

My ledger nano s get stuck on genuine check even when I do log in my ledger is not moving to next step can I get some help?

Beautiful, Rex! With the help of a trusted friend yesterday, I got my ETH off the exchange and onto my Ledger Nano S. I had configured the device but got confused by the button commands so it's been in the box empty of crypto for 4 months. So, now with Ledger Live available, I will watch your nice vid about 30 times first before trying to figure it out. Also Reddit has much info: r/ledgerwallet. Highly recommend Reddit users--they have every Ledger Nano S and LL issue covered!

I installed Ledger Live : Easy. I used it : it's SLOW and BUGGY. I getting back using the previous chrome apps until they release a more stable version of Ledger Live.

Can you please make a video on which Ledger Live to use ? I just lost all my xrp due to a cyber hack because I used the wrong Ledger Live program. I used the Chrome extension one and apparently Chrome doesn't have a Ledger Live extension. I was put on the internet by hackers. People are losing millions of crypto due to this attack.

How did u get ZenCash and DigiByte on the Nano? I have BTC ETH STELLER dash XRP.... what gives? have ai missed a astep?

Good video Dad, I have not yet tried it out but will give it a go tomorrow. My only issue now is the ETH app as & multiple erc20 tokens. Just like you mentioned I can see me still using MEW for that one.

Ledger Live has a few balance display bugs, one with Ethereum Classic, which they have patch out for, and for DigiByte which will not show your balance: I did eventually get the DigiByte to show, but then when I sent some to the core wallet it did not subtract the transaction .. however if you go the the Chrome Module it will show the balance correctly there. Peace

Great info videos: 1) question - what is the difference between Ledger Live ETH: m/44'/60'/0'/0 and ledger ETH: m/44'/60'/0' address. The chrome app and MEW both have/use the same 1st address. but the ledger live has another complete different. So please as a newbe which one should i use. p.s sorry if the question is misplaced in here

SO you can only have up to 5 apps running on the S model.....if you HAVE to have BTC and ETH then it doesn't leave much. Now the deal is that you can delete the apps and re-install as you need them...still not a very good system I think. Might go back to PAPER :)

At what point in the video does the ledger become one with the coinbase accounts or is it the wallet account? I've rewound it several times and just don't see the transition. WHAT am I missing? I'm trying to transfer my accounts from phone>desktop>ledger! I'm using coinbase. I can get to both my CB account and my ledger S accounts but don't understand how to merge them to function as a unit.

the only part im confused about its. when you are sending bitcoin which takes the longest after you send it or some one as sent it t your ledger. how long do you have to have it plugged in for ???

I got a new computer, loaded Ledger live, hooked up my nano s, loaded my BTC and ETH with no problem but when I went to load my LTC, it would not load and kept giving this message: ! Something went wrong. Please reconnect your device. I retried many times and the same message keeps coming up. Any ideas? My computer is a Apple. So are my coins digitally stored on the actual device or on the ledger live....because the ledger live mobile app allows me to transfer to ledger live without the device, is the device primarily used for verification purposes....I’m confused of its primary use case

Just got my NEW NANO S - I am following along and it won't let me add any accounts through the Ledger Live app (not your fault - just frustrating is all). Don't know what I am doing wrong....hate this stuff. Every time I get something new it's 2 days wasted - Loved my trezor, but now I can't move DGB or Tron to it or off of it now and forget EOS. I bought this because you could put those on here in cold storage and ADA...nothing I can do so far. It won't even let me move stuff to it...really bummed out. Just GIVE me a wallet that you can do everything with and be done with it already.

I tried to setup my Ledger nano S recently and it went as described till after going through twenty four recovery words and marking them down. After that I expected to confirm all twenty four words, but after second word confirmed, display showed that it is "processing" and then "your device is now ready". I expected all twenty four words have to be confirmed. Is it normal, or is there a technical issue? I tried to set it up as new device second time, but same happened again. Thanks for your help.

I don't get this one bit... just when you think it's going to be simple... I downloaded the Ontology app using the ledger live and then when I want to send ONT to the ledger, I can't add it as an account... and the send and receive options are greyed out... Great Video. When sending crypto back to an exchange, I cannot find the field to enter the destination tag, there's only an address field. Do I need a wallet to do that? I've had my crypto on Ledger Nano S and use the ledger live to receive crypto but am having difficulty sending crypto. I'm new to all of this.

Hi Rex It seems that you cannot send and receive with Ledger Live desktop with Your Ledger Nano S and you have to use android app From official website Ledger Nano S: import your accounts from desktop application & check your balance available for all users. Send & receive feature only available for Android users so is that true?

Hello Rex, Can you help me please? Ledger live won't let me add accounts. When i add my btc account i get the connection, but when i open up the app on my device i get put back to connect and unlock your ledger device. In the meantime the display on the device reads: application is ready. What can do i need to do?

Hi Rex I was trying to reach out to ledger help. but no response Can you please help me. ledger live (LL) 1. after i updated ledger live to latest version. 2. i was trying to add BTC account & i try to connect Nano S to communicated with LL 3. But LL keeps prompting for nano s conenction. 4. after several tries, i deleted LL and clean up as your video teaches. 5. when i try to connect again. MY newly installed LL didn't detect any Nano S connection 6. tried 2 cables, with the Nano S original one didn't work. 7. I was suspecting it could b USB port but it doenst seems to be 8. Nano S still can keep in my passcode and see my tokens logo in it. What should i do now? i am very confused with these kind of stuff. as i am not IT person. Pls help

How do you delete a bad address from ledger so that you can get a good address to send your crypto to (LTC is the one I am having a problem with).
