Depending on how you work, and how familiar with Smart Objects you are, another way to add the grain to the layers would be to select all of the layers (except the bottom layer) and convert them to a single Smart Object. Then add the Camera Raw filter (for the addition)of grain to the Smart Object (instead of creating a merged copy/paste to a new layer)...Then, if you need to access the layers, you can just select the Smart object and choose Edit Contents...🤔

On a Win PC keyboard they're on the right above the arrow keys. That's how they're labeled. They take you to the top/bottom of a doc.

Who would have thunk some of this existed or could be done. Whoa.

Nice explanation! Is the generative fill limited by 1024 pixels in either dimension regardless of the total area being filled?

Thank you for this excellent video which was very pleasantly present. One question, is the Content-aware Fill now fully replaced by Generative Fill. CAF is still available in the menu, however it stopped working the way it did prior to the introduction of GF. It would be good if PS continued to offers both features and not only GF. There are situations where CAF is the faster and easier solution. Cheers …😊

SO then are all generative fill layers created in sRGB or is there a way to change that?

Great video, as always. But now imagine, how much easier one could work, if ACR had a composite view. So instead of showing transparency (8:22) it would show the image like in PS. Or imagine being able to have ACR as a filter layer, which would affect all layers below (just like an adjustment layer).

That would be lovely indeed!

@@jkost Now you just have to convince the Adobe team and demo the advantages to them.

So has content aware fill and content aware expand been removed now that generative fill is here? I found it to be a lot quicker and is good enough for most of my needs.

@@peterrudolf6780 Sind immer noch da. "content aware expand" > schau mal in die Optionsleiste beim Crop Tool.
