Fishing in Florida I came across some canals with huge largemouth bass swimming around. I caught warmouth to use for bait to get some chunky largemouth to bite. Live bait fishing definitely helped out.

I use bluegills and huge chub minnows up here in Green Bay WI to fish for pike and muskie. I blow up kids baloons from walmart a liitle bigger than a gulf ball ,tie the end then tie it around my line. I use big circle hooks and no weights. The baloon is so lite it dosent wear out your bait , and you can keep control of the bait. They like to swim into snags freelining them. Give it a try , its a blast when the bait freaks out when large fish are stalking them. Good video

That's one thing I'll miss about moving out of Florida and going back up to WV. Bass here are just huge. My PB is a little over 8lbs(~25in) in a detention pond around a 2 minute walk from my house. An absolute lot monster. I know I've even hooked bigger fish that got away, too. On the plus side, creek fishing will be back on the menu in those lovely mountains. Miss me on that down in Florida with the critters we have floatin' around in the water.

I have loved these Florida fishing videos. I’m in northern Ga. They call the beginning of the blue ridge mountains which I love far more than the flat lands of Florida. I have enjoyed these to the point of taking to the little woman about us doing something like this in the future. Main problem is she isn’t about to stay in a tent that doesn’t have a fully functional bathroom and a comfortable bed so that only leaves one alternative which would be motels. Have you seen the prices that is going for a clean not necessarily expensive motel room for an evening. We are on a fixed income so to do this it would need to be reasonable priced. As always enjoyed and love your bible verses at the end. Be careful, always CC when fishing alone. David Waleska Ga.

We live-line big stripers in the salt, using large menhaden (bunker). A conventional reel, unlocked with the clicker on, lets them eat it, before setting the hook. A Shimano Baitrunner spinning reel also works well for this, as it can be fished unlocked with a separate drag. Flip the lever when ready, and hook 'em up.

Wow, John! At 2:54 on the left side there is a really cool, black & white striped fish that would have been cool if you caught! Wonder what that is? BUT, I can't believe several times starting at 6:31 that you reached down in front of that culvert opening to grab the bass! What if there was a hungry gator in there??!! There are two circumstances in which you need to worry about being "attacked" by an alligator: 1) If you're someplace where they're used to being fed by humans...then they lose their fear of them. 2) If you get close to mama's eggs...she will defend them to the hilt. I'm 82 years old and made much of the Everglades my stomping grounds. I've chased alligators, which will run from you in the wild. I have accidently stepped on one (neither of us knew the other was there)...and he just panicked and leapt into the water. You don't want to throw caution to the wind, but you can let it flutter around because alligators do not want you unless they think you're one of those who feeds them. Florida crocodiles are another matter altogether. They are mean and aggressive. "Pointy nose, watch your toes." Love your videos, by the way.

How often do you find the crocs vs the gators?
@joescoggins1590
@joescoggins1590 4 месяца назад
I seldom have seen crocs, but when I did, I stayed as far as I could get from them. The Florida crocodile is not quite as bad as the Australian salt water croc, bur now there a a few Salties that have made an invasive appearance in Florida. They're the really, really bad guys. My advice: avoid both of them.
