@Richard Rich when I was young and dumb I thought the u turn would save me time over going around the block but there were a few times I could have went around the block a couple times faster than making that u turn. Now I'm older and slightly less dumb lol
Ray is becoming my new favorite, he makes a mistake you all laugh at him, he takes it like a man, learns and moves on. I think Ray is going to be a great addition to the crew, he really wants to learn and he listens. "being teachable is not common anymore" so much so that it is truly a breath of fresh air when a teachable person comes on the crew. we got this new kid the other week and the boss was saying "im not sure about him" because he wasnt good but he is new to the field and the kid asks questions constantly and i love that.
People are to quick to give up on new guys someone who hasn’t touched a certain field are gold mines you can teach them the best ways and make good addition to any team if they have the work ethic
I’m a underground utility foreman. When you have guys like you do, screaming isn’t necessary. Unless Eric is scratching a truck down to the steel. Lol I only scream at the guys when they are about to hurt themselves or someone else. And if they are about to destroy something. Love the videos.
I know this will sound crazy for a concrete video, but thank you Ryan. I’ve suffered from suicidal thoughts for most of my life but watching you work has made me realize there’s much more to life. Hard work really does pay off and faith in god to heal you is a real thing. You, bugs, and Eric are an amazing core that I could only dream of having at work. Maybe one day god will align our paths to intersect and I can meet one of my idols. I know you hear it a lot but I love the videos and I appreciate you giving us an insight into your life & your amazing group you have assembled. Hope your wrist gets better Ryan. If you have rice and a clean sock, you can make a reusable heating pad to put on it. Just throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then flip it over for another 30 and then put it on the wrist. That will help with it. Also get a wrap at any Walmart or pharmacy to wrap it up that will help with the swelling. If you do this wrap from the middle of the forearm down and don't do it too tight. If it keeps acting up and gets worse, tense, you should go get it looked at even more so if there is any discoloration. Sometimes it can be a pulled muscle, popped tendon, or bruising depending on what happened. Listen to your body if it states to not use that arm or elevate it (above the heart) will help with swelling or relieve pain. Keep up the good work! Be safe, and have a good season. I worked for this medium-sized Contracting Company back in the 1990s that had mandatory stretching during our morning meeting... basically every employee got paid a half hour extra for this... The company said they did this because they would get a discount on their insurance premium because it reduced the amount of workman's comp claims. I don't know if I believe that or not but that's what they did... :-)
I recently retired from the mining industry and I somehow feel compelled to come work for you just because you run your crew in an efficient yet compassionate manner. You’re doing everything right IMO.

All understood the need to show up early for this job and all chose laughter to Ray’s misstep with using of another’s driveway. Even after forty plus years as a machinist I learned something new every day. Everyone has to start learning the method to the madness when they start something new. Being patient and explaining instead of just hollering at someone goes a very long way to making a great employee and earning their respect. The new hire looks like he's gonna fit right in with the crew.

I bought them last year used them quite a bit take some getting used to not running square with pour and the houses but once you get the hang of them you can really fly with them

i love watching the og drivers doing their side to side pour down the driveway. Its so fluid because you guys work with confidence around them and it all moves quick. BIG difference when there is a new driver in there

Jade will be ready to take peoples fingers off soon always nipping at them and jumping up once she gets to that magic age for pit bulls 18-2years something is for sure going to happen as her behaviour isnt being corrected, Pitbulls have a bad rep for good reason and it isnt because of the owners its the breed.
Great video! Really nice work on the driveway and especially the sidewalk. Those new magnetic stamps are incredible. The seamless pattern that they create is just beautiful. This was a very fun job to watch and to see how well your crew is starting to work as a team. This is going to be a great season!
You might be careful of the magnetic stamps. In our area the ground has a lot of iron and magnets pick up small pieces of rock/filings. Those will get into the concrete finish if you aren't careful.
