I found this really neat (and free) program to help me with my 1:9 scale customizing. Program Mirror: meshmixer.en.s... Dana head: cults3d.com/en... Tully Head:www.etsy.com/l...
I have an alternative suggestion... I do this a lot, and I don't use meshmixer very much, but do recommend the free 3dBuilder app. In 3dbuilder I load in my model... add a shape like a square or sphere. A sphere would work really easy here. I stretch the sphere to what ever shape fits best to erase on the model and then go to view and hit Xray. What this does it allows you to view the model as you move the sphere into position...and when you are happy with it click on subtract, and where ever the sphere intersects the model is deleted. This is very fast and there is no need to hunt down ~offcuts. It's also really easy to join models together. I just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents to an otherwise excellent video :) I have subbed.👍
Thanks for the pro tip. I have just started this journey into 3d printing and I will certainly add this info to my toolbox. I have been working on it Wonder Woman file that has been driving me crazy. This may be what I needed. Thank you.
I’d also like to be able to take photos of day myself or my friends and family and somehow use a program to incorporate our faces over an existing 3d model of a Mego head. This way I can make customs of ourselves but o don’t know if such a program is out there.
