That's a beautiful part. You can tell right away (I've been in machining since 1997) by looking at the part that it's machined by an experienced/seasoned machinist that takes pride in what they do. Observations: that no aberrations/irregular tooling marks that would indicate: • the machine is built ridged (harmonics/vibration isn’t communicated on the part); • the holders are good (balanced and centrifugal forces); • the setup is solid (well thought/planned); • correct speed and feeds (blemishes; irregular surface profile); : Just to name a few bullets, that comes to my mind. Kudos to Titan CNC for a great job!

I would’ve tapped the part down lightly before tightening completely

Seems like it would need a Torque wrench to keep the same repeat clamping, and for guys like me, from over-tightening. I'm a big fan of Mitee Bite clamps also.

That fixturing, man is it gorgeous! as a self taught home hobby machinist i can only envy the fixturing you guys apply for your production runs.. i do have one question for you, and its just curiosity, why are the o-ring channel ops. sent to the lathe? obviously you know way better than me, but is it possible to just implement the ops. into the cam and have the cnc cut the o-ring channels with a tool that allows such an operation? again just curiosity from a lower skill home hobby machinist.. 👍

Why doesn't anyone ever show us where it goes when it's done. You know, prove it actually fits and works.

This is just a machining segment from our TV show. To see where it goes and how it fits, check out the full episode: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kj3h2A7Hass.html

this looks like it was made for an FSAE car for sure.
@awstrong7

Its a little big for that, plus titanium is definitely overkill at FSAE loads.

I thought the same thing, then realized titanium would kill the cost score haha
