Hi guys! A while back I posted a video doing a flip through of a phone book that I had collaged over the course of a year, with left over scraps after I finished each project. Today I am making some super simple tags and journal cards using some of the pages from that collaged phone book.

Thanks Lucy! It was so great being able to just glue all those little scraps in at the end of the day lol. Sadly, it's lost on my desk again so I have been throwing the scraps into a little tub and it's overflowing again lol 😂💚

Thanks Kristina! I've tried hard to be disciplined and glue the scraps in to phone book after each project but you know how it is lol. I do love just having those pages sitting there ready to rip out and use whenever I want 😄💚🦋

Thank you so much Theresa! I really like quick simple projects like this, especially when it's just tiny scraps of papers like this lol. I ended up make a bunch more after this video, just so I could have some ready made tags for future journals. Ready to go! 😊💚🦋

My great granddaughter comes after me when I am in my craft room. Girl I get ink everywhere when I stamp too! I am heavy handed when I ink too! I love the way it looks! I love your tags! TFS ❤

This is a great idea ! You can really use up scraps quickly doing this, then you have endless tags, pockets etc ! Bonza !

Thank you Molly! Hehe I just love that collaged phone book! It took discipline for me to glue in the scraps at the end of each day but it really did help us them up, and like you said endless tags, and pockets! I need to get back to doing that I think! 😄🩵💙

Really like the idea of gluing leftovers after projects onto pages of yellow-page book. I have one and will start that today! Thanks a lot for the inspiration.

Thank you Lena! Yay! I am so glad you will start one too! I just love finding uses for those tiny scraps lol. And the phone book is so handy to have sitting on your desk and just tear a page out whenever you want to use for tags or notebook covers etc. Our phone books are really thin now where I live. Imagine having one of those giant thick phone books we used to have in the 80's! lol. 😄💚

Thank you Kylie! I love just gluing all those tiny scraps of paper in it at the end of each day. Helps to keep my desk a little neater and my little scrap paper box from overflowing lol. And having the completed pages just ready to rip out whenever you need is so handy! You could also use it as an art journal once you've collaged all the pages! 😊💚🦋

That's wonderful Kylie! It's such a great way to use those small scraps. I can't help but see everything as paper to be re-used for junk journals lol. The sugar bag, the grandkiddies school notes, the 'how to vote' leaflets at the voting booth, the paper tray liner from McDonalds....I could go on for ever lol. Oh my gosh it is like some bad paper addiction lol 😄💚

Thank you Julie! I think I meant more that I'm so predictable hahaha. i like quick and easy projects and I think they looked so nice just as they were so didn't bother to add anything more than a stamp lol. There is something about little scraps glued down that I find so appealing lol 😄💚🦋

Aww thank you so much Sonia! Makes my heart smile! I really love simple projects like this. Quick and easy and minimal, easy to find supplies lol. Oh I am so glad you started a phone book too! It's great to just glue those little scraps in at the end of each day to stop them from piling up lol. I love having the collage pages ready to use for tags or mini notebook covers etc ready to use whenever you want. 😄💚

Thank you so much for sharing ideas to use these collage pages. I have a similar “book”-used a monthly magazine from our local grocery store-but haven’t done much with the finished pages yet. And I love how you always use recycled/discarded paper. Other than glue, I also try not to buy anything new and I enjoy seeing how you make use of anything/everything that comes your way! Thank you so much Nancy! Oh I love that you do this too! It's funny, because I thought I was the only crazy one gluing down all these little scraps, then after posting my collaged phone book video on RU-vid & Facebook, I found that many others did something similar too lol. So wonderful to see so many crafters that try to use up those scraps rather than throw in the bin. I think they make lovely little tags and journal cards. I also made some little notebook covers that I will show in another video. They look really cute and have that vintagey kind of look and feel to them, which I really like. 😊💚🦋

Thank you so much Jenny! I am so happy you have found some things on my channel that you have enjoyed. I am a recycle only crafter so I don't purchase any new materials other than paint, glue and ink. It can difficult to "pretty" up the trash, but I enjoy the challenge and true junk jorunals have always been my favourite style of journal. I really enjoy simple, easy projects like this one that anyone can do without having to go out and spend alot of money. We are surrounded by so much crafting materials (junk) in our every day lives, I can't help but look at everything as crafting supplies lol 😀💚

Husbands are so funny! Mr. C & R is sitting here so I told him that you don’t buy anything and you’re making cool projects out of a phone booke. He didn’t miss a beat and said, “Well clearly it’s too late for YOU” 😂 He has opinions on my supplies. 🤣 So happy to see how you use the phone book! 💙💙💙

Hahaha it's never to late! lol. Actually I do buy stuff now and then, just nothing new. I only buy from a recycle centre or charity op shop. I figure there is enough crap our there in the world already for me to craft with, no need to create demand and buy new stuff lol. 😄💚🦋

I’m definitely going to try and find a phone book I think I have one at work, will need to fish it out today whilst cleaning up from the floods we are going through at the moment

Oh gosh Marlo, I hope you didn't get flooded too bad! Although even a little flooding is bad! We've had lots of rain here but thankfully when my backyard starts to grow a pond in it, I have a pump that I can sit out there and pump the water down the drain. The post offices have free phone books, but even if you can't find one, just any old book or junk mail or magazine will do. It's such a great way to use up those tiny scraps and so fun once it's finally filled. I have another scrap paper project video that I will upload today. It will be for true junkers that's for sure lol 😄💚

Oh its definitely meditative and calming. For me, crafting has always been my relaxing time and 'happy zone'. I love collaging with scraps mostly, and that phone book was such a great way to clean my desk at the end of each day lol. The butterfly tags turned out so sweet. Good luck reorganising your craft room. I always feel so much better once I have cleaned my desk and craft room, but I fear my reorganising is never going to end lol. Especially with my craft desk. I still haven't found a set up that I'm completely happy with and that works for me. Any tips are most welcome! 😂🩵

Oh hi hi Deb! I didn't realise that was you! lol. I found that yellow lace at an op shop years ago. I have a giant spool of it. At first I didn't like the colour (but had to buy it anyway because who can pass up a giant spool of lace, right lol) but over the years it has grown on me lol 😄💚
