I have had the Versa Tool since I got my sit down machine, but never think about using it. Now the I am seeing it in action, I will plan to use it! Thanks!
First one I watch. Very interesting Trying ruler 2 weeks ago and getting fever to learn more. Thank u for showing ways of using it. Will put on my ruler list.
Absolutely! I’m glad you found the videos! There is also a video whole cloth wallhanging you can make with the VersaTool. If you can’t find all the videos, let me know and I’ll send the links.
Thank you for the great tutorial. I purchased this Versa Tool several weeks ago and I am going to try this. I would really appreciate any beginner tutorials on this tool as I am brand new to this and am a little hesitant not knowing what to do or what would be good beginner lessons to use all of the functions of this tool. Thank you again. Have a Great Day.
Hi Penny, I have been working today with the Versa Tool, I just re-watched the video above. I see I need some practicing and will continue to start here with the circle as my first lesson...I look at the tool and see now I have to mark my fabric to give me guide lines to begin with. I think I will watch this video a couple more times and then go back to practicing this technique. It all makes sense once I see your video but I have to take my time and practice before I try to learn another part of the Versa Tool. Thanks again, I will keep practicing...hope you will continue making beginner's video's.
Chris Harvey Dont give up! You keep going. I will definitely make more beginner videos. But don’t be discouraged, as I try to reach all levels of those who just want to enjoy quilting. You can do this!
I loved this tutorial so much!!! You are very informative and the view of what you're doing is absolutely wonderful!!!! I just got a new Juki 2000qi which is for quilting only and am getting very excited about trying ruler work. I just bought this ruler today and am excited to try it out. Thank You
Joette Warburton Thanks for your encouragement! I’m glad you found it helpful. I usually post a video once or twice a week so keep your eyes peeled! And thank you so much for subscribing!!!
Well you're right, I have the versa tool and it's just sitting in my box. I don't gave a sit down but a 12 foot quilting machine. I will definitely subscribe to your videos, it gave me a push to try to use it. Thank you from San Antonio, TX 😊
Angel Torres Hi Angel! So glad to hear that. There are so many tools like this that are difficult to pull out and use. I got married in San Antonio 35 years ago this month on the 18th!!! Thank you for the comment and for subscribing!!! Happy Quilting!!!!
Faye Inderlied Thank you so much!!! This ended up being a three part series of which this was the first. I go through more designs in part 2 and use it in an actual block in part three. Let me know if you have troubles finding them and I’ll send you the links!
@@pennyolive9000 I have now watched all 3 of those and many more of your videos, you are very talented and a good teacher. I look forward to watching all of your videos!
Yes, Mitzi, look at the rulers by Westalee. They are only 1/8” thick compared to those for high shanks and long arms, which are 1/4” thick. But they have some great designs. Unless they’ve changed, though, they normally come in sets in order to get much of a selection. I don’t know if they have one similar to the VersaTool tool but you can definitely combine several rulers to be able to get similar results. Keep in touch, I would love to see how you do!i
Tricia Newman I’m actually using it on a sit down longarm. It can be used on a domestic sewing machine as long as you have a ruler foot designed for 1/4” rulers. Your dealer should be able to help you with that.
